simple way to add a drain cock
affordable, easy to install, well made and a perfect solution for vehicles that don't have a drain cock.

Great way to fix a simple problem.
Great piece to add into your lower radiator hose if your radiator doesn’t have a drain in it.

Needed modification.
The stop cock had a hole through the center of it. Coolant drained out when closed. I had to plug the hole with silicone seal. I hope it holds up.

Definitely pressure test your system with this installed.
Got this installed during a waterpump job on my Duramax which annoyingly does not come with an easy way to drain the coolant. When I ran the pressure test to check all of my work, the only place that leaked was at the petcock on this and it did so at only 4psi... while the system is supposed to be able to go to 20.I purchased a mini 1/4 stainless NPT ball valve to replace the petcock with. Hope I guessed the thread-size correctly. If my return window hadn't expired, I would be sending this back.

Works well for my 06 Silverado WT 4.3
Well made cast aluminum body with brass valve, I did add a small amount of thread sealer to the brass valve insert before tightening the valve body into the aluminum housing….
