It will do the job but it could be improved
I am a big fan of the Horn Hunter products. They make great back packs but this range wrap could be improved. All in all, I like it and think it will serve the purpose. I have an older Halo ranger finder and this wrap fits it snug. There shouldn't be an issue with the newer smaller ranger finders because there is some adjustment room. There is also no issue working the buttons with the wrap on. If you hook the elastic strap to the lanyard my range finder came with, it works perfectly hooked to my belt. If you were attaching it to a back pack, then the elastic strap would be sufficient. My concerns are with the magnet strength. It only has two 3/4 (ish) magnets holding the range finder wrap to the holder. There is room for 3 or one really long magnet. If they would have gone that route, the ranger finder would hold better and I would have probably given it 5 stars. Right now, the magnets hold but won't hold for any extensive movement. I haven't taken this to the woods yet it but it won’t fall off with normal walking around the house. If anything bumps it, it will knock it loose so you definitely want it attached to the elastic strap. There is a plastic clip on the holder that connects to a loop on the wrap that will secure the range finder at all times. This is fairly easy to connect and disconnect. The negative is that when connecting and disconnecting, there is a slight snap noise from the plastic clip.So if you unhook it to range an object and then reattach with only the magnets I feel that it would be strong enough to hold the finder for you to take a shot but it would easily be knocked off if you had to do any walking through the woods. So I would recommend this for any type of gun hunting where the snap noise shouldn’t affect a shot and am about 50/50 for bow hunting (unless you use it to pre-range some landmarks before the animal gets into range).

Works well with Nikon Aculon (tiny) as well as Leupold RX1600
There may have been improvements since some of the earlier (2016) comments indicate lower magnet strength. Mine (purchased here 2017, and again in 2019) do not have the center "snugger" strap (although I'm going to make one with either Velcro or small bungee), but they both have full length magnets, in the wrap anyway, and hold well. For rough hiking the clip works well; for slow walking or stands the magnets work just fine, and the tether prevents loss as well.Much more available than digging the RF out of a pocket, and it can be dropped to the side to limit motion when needed without losing it.I and several other hunting friends have found it very useful.

Great idea and product
I have it mounted on my bino case for bow hunting. Quick place to put rangefinder after taking reading.Magnet is strong but I put it back in my bino case pocket when walking around. Or make sure you have it tied off. Thick brush can dislodge your rangefinder.Fit my Nikon rangefinder just fine. Some complain about covering buttons on rangefinder. Was not an issue for me. Rangefinder worked fine.

Won’t work with backpack straps
I really wanted the case to work. The straps are not they long so it won’t go around the backpack straps. I have a normal size range finder and it does wrap around the unit, but it leaves a bunch of Velcro showing. Not a great set up unfortunately

Good product.
The loop on my rangefinder broke making it impossible to use my rangefinder lanyard. I put my rangefinder in this wrap, clipped it to my lanyard, and I'm back to bow hunting.

it seems to work pretty good. Good construction and well thought out
I actually bought the bino hub system and got this in addition for a walkie talkie. While I have not been out hunting yet, it seems to work pretty good. Good construction and well thought out. Great company

Terrible
No rope or strap goes around range finder at all Like in picture . It’s literally Velcro securing it . Would of been better served to stick my rang finder in my pocket..pointless, nothing secures it from falling through bottom either..go back and rethink this whoever made it , picture is very misleading !!
