Why does a 36V battery use a 42V charger?

36V is nominal battery voltage; many 36V lithium-ion packs need 42V charging. Replacement batteries may differ. Before ordering, we can check your device and battery details against our compatibility database to help identify a suitable charger.

Why does the plug fit and the light stay green, but the battery does not charge?

Is warmth normal during charging? Can I charge overnight?

Some warmth can occur. Over-temperature protection is built in, and current tapers as the battery nears full. Per CPSC guidance, never charge unattended or while asleep. Keep dry and ventilated; unplug when charging is complete.
