Compatible Replacement Lens Cap Canon Powershot SX10 is, SX10, SX20 is, SX20, SX30 is Digital Camera

Best deal ever. inexpensive and works perfect!

I got this as a replacement lens cap for my Canon Powershot SX10IS. The price and delivery is good, and it fits the lens that comes on the Canon Powershot SX10IS. The original lens cap with the camera did not have a way of tying the cap to the body, so I used a nice strap that had a stick-on attachment to the cap. This worked well, but after a time, the stick-on part came loose and I lost the cap. I liked the fact that this lens cap had an attached strap. The downside is that the original cap fits with the lens hood in place. This cap requires the lens hood to be removed. Not a big deal, because it is easy to remove the cap, then put on the lens hood. However, I probably would not have gotten this particular cap, had I known it was not compatible with the lens hood.

I ordered this cap as the flimsy one that comes with the camera fell into the Santa Barbara harbor on the 4th of July. So I ordered 2. What I received didn't look at all like the picture shown on Amazon. There is no small permanent loop with an attached tether. and it doesn't have a flat face. What I did receive was 2 different caps and 2 stick on tethers. The finished "assembly" is shown in the photos I left on the site. The cap fits fine and is actually easier to remove than the original. After close inspection of the cap I noticed that there is a small slot on the side that one could attach a more pemanent cord to by running it through the slot. I may just try that. The seller in my case was "Angelseller". I let them know about this and curiously enough they very promptly sent me two more! So I give them an A for effort, and I now have 4 lens caps! It would be nice if the picture matched the unit though.

I lost the original cap that came with the camera the first week I owned it. The original cap is worthless and did not have a strap. I could not find a replacement cap in any of the big box stores, so I came to Amazon and took a chance.The replacement cap I got works great and it has a strap that holds the cap to the camera. The cap is held to the string by a little sticky pad, which I wasn't sure if it would hold, but it has done the job so far and I have been very active with our new camera and taken it on over 50 miles worth of hiking trips in the past couple of months without losing it.The shipping was quick and no issues. I will order another one if I ever lose this one. The price was right.

Bought this to replace a lost Canon lens cap, and I like it better than the original because it has deeper finger indentations than the factory original, and it has the tether to keep it from getting lost. The one I received is slightly different than pictured, but I like what I received better than what is pictured because of the differences. The manufacture is at least as high or better than the Canon original, but it has no Canon logo, which suits me fine. If I had a choice between the Canon factory original or this replacement, I'd take this replacement over the original. It seems to attach and detach more easily than the original, and the tether is a winner. Altogether satisfied.

The original cap fit my SX20IS a little loosely. This one is a much more secure fit and the spring locks are SIGNIFICANTLY better than on the original cap. Mine arrived with the leash already attached - a nice bonus.I lost the hood that came with the camera as well. It was attached to the camera. We walked around the zoo and when I looked down the hood was gone. It too, wasn't very secure and it wiggled off or bumped against my hip and fell off. I am happy to know I won't lose another one this way.....the strap from this lens cap will catch it since it's tied to the camera.SO VERY HAPPY with this new cap!!!

I lost the lens cap cover that Canon provided. This lens cap cover fits better than the original and has the attached strap that is an awesome feature. I have it attached to my camera strap. No more camera without a lenscap cover !! My camera is TOO valuable not to have lens protection. Now why doesn't Canon provide this far supperior product with each of their cameras for FREE ??? I am so happy I found this online. I recommend this to anyone that requires it. We realized that it also fits my nephews Canon camera. He lost his lenscap as well. So I am ordering one for his birthday. It is a Godsend.

It was EXACTLY what I was looking for! The lens cap that came with my camera did not have the leash strap to attach it to the camera - I knew I would lose it, and I did. The Amazon information for the lens cap included which cameras the lens cap was compatible with - that was invaluable information and what prompted me to purchase it from Amazon. I had been searching the web and found several similar caps, but they never listed the compatible cameras, which made the listing useless in my view.
