NV Base 2.0 1 Bike, 2 Bike Add-On

Great rack, very sturdy and fairly easy to put together. Well engineered to make loading and locking bikes easier. Used it with the 2 rack extension for a total of 4 bikes (including 2 bikes) and was very stable.

Besides me, my daughter and granddaughter do a lot of biking. I have a rather tall SUV with crossbars and a roof rack that can hold one bike. The Kuat NV 2 holds the other two bikes. Lately, it's been a pain in the back (literally) to heft a mountain bike onto the roof rack while the others sit snugly on the Kuat. The addition, although a bit pricey, allows me to put all three bikes in one place, wheels on, with no more aches and pains getting the 3rd bike on the roof rack. If we're road biking, getting a much lighter road bike on the roof isn't much of a bother. The additional rack is the same high quality as the NV2 and was easy to assemble and install. All the necessary hardware was included and the directions were quite clear. Instead of using the included Allen keys, I used Allen sockets and a ratchet which made assembling a lot faster. I put a little bit of grease on the two bolts that hold the assembly together to prevent corrosion down the road. There's little chance I'll ever need to disassemble anything, but you never know. The only "con" to this add-on is that when folded up, I can't see a blessed thing with my backup camera. I'm thinking of installing a supplemental backup camera to alleviate this problem. Aside from that one 'con' I'm very happy with this purchase.

The extension was perfect. I would recommend checking the tightness after a couple of trip, the bolts weren’t loose but they did need a couple turns to make everything tight again.

I bought the add on so i can help friends transport their bikes. I think its exspensive, but the quality it evident. Like others have mentioned, you now have 2 keys, but it's not a big deal

This is one sturdy bike rack. No wobbling. It's the best looking bike rack out there too! Holds any kind of bike, mountain, fat tire and road. Easy to load, easy to lower and raise.

I only received box 1 of 2. Where and when will i receive the second box?

Extremely well thought out design. Solid materials and build quality. Took me about 45 mins to assemble and that was taking it nice and slow. This rack will last me many years of reliable service.
