No a cheap pair of glasses by any means. However, when I received my package it appeared to be used, weathered and damaged. When I initially inspected the product it looked fine. A couple months later (after the return window closed) I actually unboxed the glasses to use only to find out one of the side shields pops off EVERY TIME you fold the arms in. I purchased these glasses specifically for the side shields because I have a medical condition/extreme light sensitivity. The merchant MadAthlete did respond to my message quickly; telling me to call Julbo directly or email them. MadAthlete did not include the email address and obviously they could care less, it's not their problem.
