My pooch gets a scoop and 1/2. The scoop is very small (6 ml, so do the math based upon the size of your dog) and I had the smaller bottle before ordering the larger one. In fact, the scoop is so small that you have to be careful measuring out the welactin into it. **Q: ingreditons** A: The answers for EPA and DHA for this 2013 post are no longer correct. The amounts have increased to 870/570 mg. **Q: Are the gelcaps still available? Have not been able to find them anywhere** A: I have seen the gel caps for sale on Amazon for dogs, however my Veterinarian did not recommend them. **Q: How long did it take to see an improvement?** A: After about a month or so, we really started noticing the difference. He was almost like a puppy again. I would say that you should start to see some changes within a month and a new happy dog within 3 months! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Omega-3 Supplement for Dogs *by C***W on 20 July 2026* I've been using Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Fish Oil for my dog for several weeks, and I've noticed a real difference. Very happy with the product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to Add to My Dogs’ Daily Food *by J***A on 28 August 2026* Welactin Omega-3 Canine may help support: * Skin and coat — helps support healthy skin and a shiny coat. * Joints and mobility — omega-3s can support a normal inflammatory response and joint health. * Heart health — EPA and DHA can support cardiovascular health. * Brain health — DHA is important for normal brain function. * Kidney health — omega-3 fatty acids may provide nutritional support for kidney function. * Overall wellness — provides EPA and DHA as part of a dog’s diet. * Gut/digestion: I would not specifically claim that Welactin improves gut health in your Amazon review unless Nutramax makes that claim for this exact product. Omega-3s may have broader effects on inflammation, but this isn’t primarily a digestive or probiotic supplement.
