Good quality bow for student
My daughter rebuilt a 3/4 violin she found at Goodwill that did not have a bow, so we bought her this one from Amazon. It sounds great on the strings and the bow feels nice in the hand. It's balanced and a good weight and length. It's easy to adjust the strings.

Great beginner bow
I am a 9-12 band director, and recently started learning violin for my mariachi class. I needed a decent, cheap bow (I am a first year teacher, after all), and this fit the bill exactly. While it may be cheap, it works well for my purposes!

Looks like a bow but it isn't.
Not really a bow. It is shaped like a bow until you tighten it, then it bends to the side. And worst of all, it won't take rosin at all. I've tried four different kinds numerous times, really working it in, but nothing. The "hair" remains slick as a whistle and won't pick up any rosin. In 50 years of playing many bows, I've never seen anything like it. The hair must be made of some sort of plastic. Even cheap fiberglas bowhair works better than this. I bought the cheap bow just to see what the quality would be and to have a bow for teaching that won't mind getting dropped on the floor a few times, but that's all this one is good for. Perhaps I got the one dud in the lot, but they should not even be selling an unusable product like this. Other than that, it looks nice and seems to be made well. Just don't plan on this being your best bow. Keep looking for something better. Cheaply made products will hamper your playing to a great degree and thereby waste your time and efforts.
