One Crazy Week: A Small-Town Romance (A Jetty Beach Romance Book 2)

Money can’t buy you happiness... but it can get a Bugatti!!
Day two of my Jetty Beach marathon and book two is just as good as the first. We’ve already met the super sassy, beautiful and intelligent small town teacher that is Melissa. She’s the best friend of Nicole from book 1 and I instantly loved her then. This book has just increased my liking for her. Fiercely honest, often brutally so, she’s the kind of girl who has a ‘tell-it-like-it-is’ personality but because she’s charming, witty and friendly, somehow she manages to get away with it.I have to admit that a HUGE smile came across my face when the name ‘Jackson Bennett’ came up. We briefly met him as one of Nicole’s contacts from her Events and PR job. At the time I honestly thought that Melissa and Jackson would be great for each other. And, oh how right I was!!Jackson is a very, very wealthy man. Not only does he look like a male model, but he’s one of the country’s most eligible bachelors and of course, he’s making the most of his single playboy billionaire status. Parties, fast cars and women... that’s his lifestyle and he loves the attention that brings. A social media fiend... everything he does is boasted about through his Twitter profile. The paparazzi love him and he loves being noticed. His life is a far cry from Melissa. She’s grown up in Jetty Beach and has never even considered having a life outside her small, close-knit town. She’s happy with her quiet life... but even she has to admit that singleton boredom strikes often.Whilst in town on business, Jackson is looking for any kind of entertainment in this small town and a drink. He stumbles across the only bar. It’s hardly heaving with activity but that’s when he notices the gorgeous specimen sitting at the end of the bar. She’s nothing like the usual women who throw themselves at his feet. In fact, she doesn’t even appear to know who he is. It’s a welcome reprieve. They engage in playful banter over the best way to drink scotch but when Jackson wants to take it further, Melissa puts on the brakes and rejects him. Now, he’s not one to resist a challenge and he’s certainly not going to let this one get away. There’s something about Melissa that pulls him in.Of course, it doesn’t take long for Melissa to discover who he is... with Nicole’s help... and when she sees a tweet from Jackson about a sassy girl who he can’t get out of his head... she sets about trying to tempt him back.It works and soon Jackson has an offer she cannot refuse. He wants take her away for the week; no strings, no promises beyond that. Just a week of fun, frolics and obviously... lots of unadulterated and mind blowing sex. Surprised by the offer Melissa is wary at first, but heck, she was just complaining about her single life being a little mundane. So, why not? It’s just a week... no strings. No expectations. Hahaha... yeah, right. Like that’s going to work! Now, I have to admit that I’d already seen the sneaky little hints that I’ve come to recognise from reading this genre of books. There’s little hints that creep in throughout the first half of this book that give you an idea where this is heading.Obviously, the one week is not going to be enough. Although they get off to a rocky start, Jackson shocks Melissa by being so far removed from the pretentious, spoiled and aloof celebrity she expected him to be. He’s none of those things. Every minute they are together, Jackson is incredibly attentive, sweet and caring. There’s an overwhelming need for Jackson to protect her from those that follow him. But he’s famous, and with fame comes a price. That price is privacy. As much as he tries to shield her from the baying wolves, his world is a whirlwind of camera flashes, red carpets and media frenzy. It’s all too much for a small town girl like Melissa when her own privacy is compromised. As much as she wants to be with Jackson, and he wants to be with her, Melissa struggles. The spotlight is too bright. Whilst being blinded by it for a moment is dazzling, it’s not how she ever saw her life being. But fear not fellow romanticists, for a twist of fate (or mishap) has a way of taking their choices away. A life changing complication makes them both reevaluate their lives and suddenly all that mattered before is cast aside. The only thing they need to do now, is admit it to each other.Loved this pairing right from the outset. They just belong together despite their differences. This story is funny, flamboyant and fabulous. I did get that constant nibbling feeling in my gut around half way through that something was going to give... but I’ve never been so pleased that these two got their happily ever after.Right onto book 3. Thanks for the sneak peek... sounds interesting!

Another great book
Second book in the series and another great read. Jackson and Melissa’s story was brilliant. I loved the flirty start, the intense middle and perfectly heart warming end. The pace of this book was perfect, you know from the title that it is going to be fast, and it was, but it was no less intriguing.Loving this series and can’t wait to move on to book three.

Melissa and jackson
Book two follows Melissa, Nicoles best friend.Nicole met Jackson in settle after he tried two hit on her and she told him about her small home town.jetty beach, Jackson had been there as a child and kind of saw it as a sign to pop into town he asked for details about the art show she was working on there and went to go and buy it as she told him it's run down and not at its full potential with his business mind he goes there. Only problem is he also is know as a playboy, so what happens to a playboy when he finds the one.my only problem was you would think Nicole would of said she met him she never does.
