Well made and practical. Fits well and easy to grab four! Good tool to have!

Bit of a tight fit. Need to shave top clamps to improve consistent unload for speed loading.

I ran a 3gun match with this, worked great. It was a particular advantage over belt worn caddies when shooting prone, as I was able to slide the shells to my back and pull them back around when headed to my staged shotgun. It’s also nice to be able easily remove the unit in between stages.

Shells are easy to load, securely held, and reliably strip for loading 4 at a time - what more do you need. This model also comes with a nylon strap and clip so that you can quickly and easily strap it around your torso directly before a stage, which is nice. As a new 3-gun competitor, I don't have a broad experience with a variety of other shell holders, but have tried a few, and I am confident that this is among the best for the money. I have given this product a 5 star rating, knowing that the holders are made from plastic and may be subject to break under heavy use. I will re-review this product as needed, after a season of use, and if it doesn't perform well, I will downgrade the rating accordingly.

So here's my issue. When I received the 20S4 the clips were not in line. They seemed to be randomly bent closer or farther. No two shell spacings were the same. One was so far apart that the shell barely even clipped into the holder. Putting two shells end to end, one clip on the rim of the shell, the other was almost off the bottom end of the other shell. As I examined the holders, I realized that they are designed to be installed one side or the other. In proper configuration, the clips angle slightly inward which is the correct spacing. But some of mine were installed wrong. So they were angled outward. Then I realized that I had 4 that were supposed to be installed on one side and 6 on the other side. Do the math, that means at the best 3 of the holders can be correct, but 2 will be wrong. Honestly, I was expecting more for a nearly $100 item. I would not recommend this item.

The retention pressure on the shells is so hard, it is impossible to pull them out. They consistently get stuck and some of the shells get deformed from the absolutely ridiculous clamping force. Get something else with higher quality.

If you own a shotgun and this is definitely something for you. I’ve had no issues of shotgun shells falling out, even as I’m walking or jogging. If you’re hesitant, then I recommend to order as soon as possible since it tends to sell out very quickly.

Excellent retention, easy to mount and the customer service was great. When received one retaining tab was broken, one email and new parts were shipped.
