About how long does this take to put together and is it fun? I have only done one 1/100 Gundam and it took over ten hours.

Its not the same complexity as a MG figure (no inner frame), but it is fun and I feel it'll take a total of 5-7 hours depending if you want to do more like lining it.

Is this a a figure or a model that you have to put together?

Yes, the Figure-Rise Standard Amplified Digimon Adventure Omegamon is a model kit that has to be put together.
