Run smaller than original.
Sizes are listed differently & run smaller so nearly impossible to pull hard enough to get velcro to catch enough. Had only had minimal to moderate success with old ones not sliding up in back often with putting boots on but then with riding... But also noted boot section that covers the bulbs on more "drawn in" on newer boots even after returning for replacement. Assuming slight manufacturing change as these are my 4th pair. I could use the wraps a bit with boots during initial months of strict stall rest (use caution re increased pastern & hoof capsule temps with Laminitis...) & hand walking during recovery. But longer riding in them often had the wraps wrinkling up & right above the bulbs no matter how far underneath the bulbs I started them. I filed, pounded, stretched a bit & softened the boot area cutting in back edge seam between leather & padded rim so quit using the wraps what little I now need the boots.

Med with 3 Slim boots worked for my Am Warmblood
I wanted these to use with my horse’s new Cavallo Trek boots since they are a touch big. I was concerned about sizing since reviews say the chart is off. I went with the recommended size of Med for the 3Slim boots I have. At first I thought they were way too small because the Velcro didn’t even meet at the front of the pastern. Well, they are very stretchy and are supposed to be tight, so they ended up working out well. My horse is an American Warmblood for reference. I watched the video and read reviews and made sure the wrap went under the hoof bulb so your horse is actually stepping on the wrap before putting on the boots. I had no trouble with the wrap moving while putting on the boot. It did not slip with wear, although we have only had a short workout so far. It did help the boot fit a bit more snugly, but there was still a gap at the back of the foot that I am not too worried about. I am happy I bought these to pair with the Trek boots.

I really like these pastern protectors
I really like these pastern protectors. I've used the cavallo boots a few times without and noticed some rubs on my horses heel bulbs. That does not happen with these pastern wraps. They're a little tricky to get to stay in place when putting the boot on, but not so much that it can't be done without frustration. It just took me a few times to get it down where I could do it without screwing it up! But, I think it could be operator error... Once I got it figured out, I've not had any issues since. Nice quality and definitely a must use for my horse and his comfort.

Works great!
These are wonderful and do their job. They are a little difficult to apply to your horses feet. They DO work if you take your time and follow the directions and put them on the correct way. I rode 6 miles the first time and they stayed put.

Useless
I had high hopes for these pastern wraps based on reviews, but they are useless. They do not stay put whatsoever and roll up my horse's ankle within minutes. Can't even return them because I kind of jerry-rigged them to see if I could make them work... No luck. Waste of money.

Omg
Have a pair of Cavallo that didn't fit quite where I wanted them . But these on my horse then put on his boots big difference. Live them worth the money

Won't stay in place, bunches up in the boot.
I really liked the idea of these, and I am sure on most horses they work great. For some reason, mine just won't stay put. When they move out of place, it can cause some wear spots on the pastern, and bunch up inside the boot. I am sure that is uncomfortable for my horse so I stopped using them. Great idea, just didn't work on my horse.
