French Press Replacement Glass with Steel Filters by Cafe Crush Club - Fire Hardened Borosilicate Beaker - 34 Ounce | 1 Liter Size with Black Measures

This is an excellent, high quality replacement glass carafe. I have a Bodum carafe for my press coffee I've used for years but the glass in it would break too easily (I went through several of them).I decided to look for something better. The borosilicate glass from Crush basically upgrades the quality of the Bodum carafe with a stronger more durable glass. I've used the Crush replacement glass now for over a year and 1/2 and I literally use it every single day to brew the perfect cup of hot coffee.Some key things about this:- Stronger glass: it's still glass so it can break, but if you bump it here and there it has a better chance of surviving. I've bumped it lots of times over the past year and 1/2 with this carafe survived where my Bodum glass generally would not. The borsilicate glass is the same glass used to make products like the Chemex pour over coffee maker.- Perfect fit in Bodum (8 cup\34 oz\1 liter): It's not the exact same shape as the Bodum carafe, it has a slight curve out on the top lip, but it does not negatively or positively effect anything from my experience.- Also comes with replacement filter screens which are a little softer, very nice; again a perfect fit.Can't recommend this product enough, more than replacement glass, this is an upgrade to the Bodum carafe!

Great replacement for my French Press. I do wish it had all the measuring lines that my last one had on the side, but other than that, it is perfect.

The spout on mine had broke off in the dishwasher. I measured mine and ordered this one hoping it would work. It fit perfectly in my Starbucks press and the new screens were a plus! The edges on mine were worn and wirey and would snag on everything. The major plus of this one was that it has measurment lines on it. I was simply going to order a whole new press, perhaps one that was not glass but I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to estimate the water properly. Some had measurements on the inside but I'm not sure I could see it and dispense the hotwater into it at the same time. Plus I thought the lines would eventually wear off as I pressed my coffee. So I opted to replace just the carafe. It's a perfect fit, it comes with new filters and it was the most economical... that's a trifecta win for me!

My previous carafe broke and while I was tempted to purchase a whole new set I didn’t want to be wasteful and just throw away the perfectly good hardware. This glass fits perfectly on the old frame and I am happy to not have to toss out the old. I don’t recall how far the plunger when down in my old beaker, but the plunger reaches to about 3/4” from the bottom of this beaker, which seems about right as far as room for the grounds. I enjoyed the reading materials provided and they even emailed a pdf with some in depth instructions on brewing that I find quite interesting. (I’ve been doing it wrong for years, who knew?! 🤷‍♀️) It also came with two extra screens, a nice bonus. It has some measurement markings on the side, which I don’t think are necessary, but are a nice touch that my previous beaker didn’t have. I’ve just received this, so I can’t really attest to the durability, however it seems as durable as would be expected of a glass beaker. I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend this replacement glass.

I purchased this item as a replacement for a 34oz Bodum french press carafe. The original did not have measurement markings as this one does, though I have not yet measured their accuracy.There is an imperfect fit/seal between the original french press plunger/lid and this carafe, whereas the original one was more intimate. That being said, I have not noticed any coffee grounds coming through the seal. I haven't noticed any difference in taste, though I believe the imperfect seal might make the extraction process a little less efficient - maybe those with more refined palates might notice the difference.It's cheaper and it works. Will update if any changes in the future.

...in my partner's Bodum press that I broke (and have a talent for doing, ask anyone who has known me for any significant amount of time). I have a talent for breaking glass coffee carafes: French press, standard coffee makers, Chemex--you name it, I've shattered it. So while I was cleaning my partner's Bodum that he failed to clean (f'real, he let the grounds sit for 2 days) I knew I was going to break it if I cleaned it but I was so entirely irritated with it sitting on my countertop that I dismantled and cleaned it and when I was sitting it in the drying basket I said to myself, "I'm afraid I'm going to break this" and I did. My partner was a little irritated and then I said, "You know I break coffee carafes, right? Do you know how many days this sat here, uncleaned? If you don't want it broken, clean your sh*t!" He's been cleaning it timely ever since. And the glass I purchased fit so perfectly, he thought I purchased him a whole new French press. We love it!

One month after purchasing, the glass carafe broke during normal usage. But owner responded quickly & offered a replacement. 😊I like that the carafe has measuring lines on the side. Much better than the original carafe

Seems like a good, sturdy beaker! Like the measurements on the side. It is slightly small for our Bodem coffee press - for the holder, anyway. The press itself works fine but the beaker is a bit loose in the frame, so we're being careful when pouring the coffee out, just in case it wants to slide out. But the beaker itself seems well-made and will hopefully last. This is probably our fifth beaker and most were broken probably due to mishandling on our part. We've most often bought Bodem-brand replacement beakers, but I have to say, of all the ones we've bought to replace the original, this one seems heavier and more well-made.

Awesome quality and highly recommended! Better quality than the original Bodum version.
