Review: They fit wonderfully! - I’m very happy I purchased these. I’m 5’ 9” and weigh 169 lbs and generally wear a size 14. My waist is 36”. At the widest part of my hips I’m 46” I bought these in XL, in beige so they don’t show through my dresses. They seemed a little big in the butt when I tried them on right out of the package but when I washed them in warm water and put them through the dryer they fit exactly as one would want, snug but not tight. I was concerned that the legs would be too long but they sit 5 inches above the top of my knee cap. This is good because I wear some dresses that fall at the middle to top of my knee caps and didn’t want a boy short to show while moving and sitting—I hate when undergarments show. My thighs are 23” where the leg hem sits and the hem of the legs do not cut into my legs the way regular bike shorts do, they are just not that tight. The waist band sits high on my waist and doesn’t cut in so no muffin top showing through my dress like what happens when the waist is too short and/or too tight. The inseams are not constructed like regular bike shorts or pants (with one seam that goes up the middle of your inner legs to the crotch) they have a two seam crotch/inner thigh that I’m unable to describe. But trust me, it makes for a very comfortable fit at the inner thighs, no inseams rubbing against each other, and It is a manufacturing process that requires a couple more steps to sew which impressed me that they took the extra steps/time in the manufacturing process. They are 95% cotton, 5% spandex. Cotton! -Not cheap, hot, (plastic) polyester! I confess that I have not been able to test them in really hot humid weather, yet. I bought them late in the summer-early fall- so the heat and humidity has already past. But, I am going to Southeast Asia in October and it’s going to very hot and very humid and I feel confident that these are going to make walking around in that heat bearable. Dresses will be cooler to wear and with no chafing! So happy I ordered these.
