Solid device, works better than advertised. I put a 1TB M-Sata drive in it and average insane transfer speeds. I do not have a top speed for it right now as to this point it literally has show that is can perform to a degree the PC itself is limited to (Drive the data is coming from is slower, or the PC itself just can not fill the bandwidth to the device). I have used this on MANy different devices and was using it to clean up duplicated file (Photos, music and such) to free up space and a SSD is the best method of De-Duplicating due to IO capabilities. I just did not expect this to perform to this degree. I have 2 and absolutely look forward to finding out what the max capabilities are. I can say that over 500 GB takes on a sold PC running another SSD less than an hour to copy. As soon as I can get a proper benchmark on this device I will update. I can say this, I have many devices like this, and very rarely do I find one of this caliber, or one that is literally being held back by the HOST and not the device itself.

I put a MyDigitalSSD Super Boot 2 128GB mSATA SSD in this and made a ridiculously fast USB flash drive. Seriously, no other USB flash drive I have used even comes close, and I own what are supposed to be some of the world's fastest USB flash drives. This thing completely destroys them. It is a bit larger, but it's only about twice the size of a Transcend USB 3.0 64GB that I carry around most days, so it is very portable.Update:I have since replaced the 128GB SSD with a 500GB Samsung EVO 850, and it's even faster! Too bad this enclosure is not available any longer. I liked the offset USB port design better than the centered ones sold by most others on Amazon. Hopefully it will return someday.

Amazing. The perfect solution to use my msata card externally. Tried other enclosures all had to have a separate USB cable. This one is and "all in one" and is small. There are so many different versions of the MSATA card be sure your getting the right enclosure. The M.2 Sata is a much longer card. I have several other thumb drives as my job is in IT, and despite the big name brands and one is an SSD flash drive - this one kicks the pants off it and offers far more storage.I booted up my MBP Retina with a flash drive from this unit and the speed is right on par with the internal SSD drive. All I could say was...."Wow this thing is fast!" Recommend if our looking for and way to use your MSATA card portably.
