**Q: Is an amp needed with this or is there one preinstalled?**
A: You will need an amp. I have an Autotek 1500 class D. A bet overpowered but gains and crossover set right. Sounds pretty good, yet struggles at super low notes. I plan on upgrading the sub later. Good build, solid.

**Q: Is that a port I see in the image?**
A: Exactly what I saw.. ported in picture but sealed in listing. They need to get it together

**Q: What do you mean by fast bass?**
A: It doesn’t have to wait to warm up the voice coil

**Q: Is a kenwood xr601-1 excelon 600-watt monoblock rated at 400 watts rms at 4 ohms single to much amp for this subwoofer?**
A: Nope...I have that much power and still believe it can handle more
