Works great at a fraction of the OEM cost.
My 08 CRV power steering pump started to sound like marbles rattling around in a tin can. Honda OEM was over $800 and a Honda rebuilt was $450. I checked local parts stores but their reviews were less than stellar for $250+ for a rebuilt. I found this one on Amazon and found the reviews were mostly positive, with $80 being a great price for NEW. The Drivestar pump arrived the very next day. Hardest part of the installation was getting the serpentine belt off and loosening some rusty bolts that haven’t been touched in 14 years. Exact fit (I did have to reuse the original low pressure connector of the original pump) made the rest of the installation super easy. A little noisy at startup but it quieted right down once I topped off the fluid and got the air out of the system. Running quiet now and hopefully will give me reliable service until the new car market settles down and I can replace this trusty Honda.

Repeat Customer; Has lasted 40K+ miles
I originally bought this power steering pump back in Feb 2022 and it took me way longer than expected to replace it because I didn't know that you have to use an impact gun to remove the flywheel from the pump while it's still inside the engine bay in order to get it out (I dropped the whole engine down to get it out the first time). Also, you have to remove the passenger side wheel while the car is on stands to access the pump. There are good videos on YouTube on how to replace the PS pump on Gen 8 civics that would have been very helpful back then. Anyways, fast forward 4 years. My OEM power steering lines dried out and started leaking since they were almost 20 years old. I didn't realize this until I had run the power steering fluid reservoir dry and lost power steering. This caused my newer PS pump to burn out prematurely because I ran it dry longer than I should have. Anyways, I replaced my power steering lines and reordered this same brand of PS pump and installed it much quicker the second time around (about 3 hours instead of 5). The first pump lasted over 40K miles without issues before I ran it dry and burned it out (which isn't the pump's fault). Installed this second newer one and it's working great. No issues or leaks. One thing to keep in mind is that if you run your power steering rack dry and install a new pump, the new pump will whine for a while until all the little air pockets in the steering rack are replaced with fluid. This can take several heat cycles and hundreds of miles. My pump whined a little at first but got better with time as the tiny air bubbles made their way out of the rack, pump and fluid. Overall I am very happy with both of these power steering pumps that I had. They are way less expensive than genuine Honda pumps and seem to be reliable and work just fine.

Works great and the price was great too!
So one thing you will find out is that there are three price points on car parts. 1) Stealership (buying from dealer) which is 4-5 times what you should pay. 2) Autoparts places which is still 2x what you should pay. and 3) Amazon which I have found is usually 1/2 of the parts stores. If you can wait 2-3 days to get the parts, you get to save 1/2. If you need it that day then you must buy from the Stealership or local part stores. This power steering pump works absolutely perfectly and the price was 1/2 of autozone. I found some very good videos online that made swapping it out fairly easy. The only issue I had on this pump was that I actually had to use the outlet connector from my original pump because the angle of the connector on this pump was the wrong direction to work on the Honda CR-V. But other than that, it was a perfect fit and it works perfectly. If it does not hold up over time, then I will come back and update this review. I don't anticipate any issues with it. The hardest part of replacing was getting the drive belt back on. That has nothing to do with the pump, just letting you know that was the most difficult task of replacing this (required two people)

Fits 1986 Chevy Corvette (with some filing...)
Installed on 1986 Chevy Corvette. The holes initially did not line up, bad fit. Noticed the pump housing is a slightly different shape than the original, so it hits a bracket. The pump housing is soft aluminum so I filed a bit off the back edge of the housing where it was hitting. Voila. Fit perfect and has been good for 20 miles. If you have same issue, recommend installing one of the end bolts in the pump and swing it up into position. Notice where it hits. It's hard to see and may take a couple guesses but you'll get it.

major leakage
Pump was installed in 2022 on a 2006 Acura TSX. First it was making a lot of noises which I brushed off after reading about the O-rings. Installed new O-rings. Pump seems to have had a slow leak for several years now. I should have uninstalled it and installed a different brand. Yes it fits the K24. Yes it's inexpensive. I'm pretty sure I got a dud. Caveat emptor. I don't see any other leaks in the system.

DRIVESTAR 21-5495 Power Steering Pump/2008 Honda Accord 2.4l
I ordered this power steering pump in May 2022 and just got around to installing it around the beginning of August 2024. After a couple weeks I am happy with the performance of my power steering pump assembly. It’s a great idea to perform a power steering flush and replace the new power steering reservoir with a new one. Do this before replacing the PS pump. The PS reservoir has a built in particle filter and will help extend the life of the new PS pump when replaced. Have the front of the wheels up in air on Jack stands while performing the PS flush as to reduce stress on the rack and pinion assembly. This also a great time to check the serpentine belt and tensioner for wear as this will have a perfect opportunity to replace them. The PS pump was filled with PS fluid, be careful when removing the caps on either end as the fluid will rush out immediately. But I appreciate that it was filled with PA fluid to help with purging the system for air. After these couple weeks I also notice no more PS fluid leaking all over the left side of the engine bay.

great price and quick delivery very satisfied
Very good quality no noise very easy to install functions great so far durability can't say yet. Note very important for those who don't know this it is very important to fill the pump with new oem power steering fluid and bleed it before installing it so it won't run dry at first start up i learned this a long time ago i've been a tech for Honda for 38 years this is just a very important procedure before installing the pump .

Power Steering Pump - Installed - 2005 Toyota Matrix
Ordered this pump for 2005 Toyota Matrix. Its been on the car for weeks now. No leaks and was a direct replacement. I had zero issues and was impressed with the quality of this item out of the box. It also came with the pressure sensor so I didn't have to transfer the old one across. The return line elbow also came installed on the pump so didn't have to transfer that across either, just had to connect the hose. All in all great value. Anywhere else I looked they were wanting 175 to 270 dollars from parts stores or direct from Toyota.
