What are the washing instructions?

My husband threw mine in the dryer instead of hanging dry. It started matting and it looks like an old stuffed animal. Hang dry!

Nope. It's not tight on the head, but it's not loose, either.

Does it come with the knitted cap underneath?

no it does not. I do like the balaclava and it does the job. The material is comfortable and does not pill. I will probably buy another one in the future.
