TIMER IS VERY BADLY DESIGNED
The cooker is an upgrade from a 14 year old Hotpoint Ceramic hob. The bad thing is the timer is absolutely useless, as you can hardly hear it, checking on other reviews for newer models of Hotpoint, they all complain about the timers not being loud enough. My other model was much better as you had to switch it off manually and so much louder.I will now have to purchase a timer that works where you have to switch off and is louder.

Blower cooling fan does not come on when ovens are on.
The media could not be loaded. Disliked the excessive steam coming from the vents at the back of the hob when the ovens are on. Have to wedge cloths down the back to stop the water running down behind the cooker. Hotpoint engineer told us the thermostat is set at 190c for the blower fan to come on but the oven would have to be on at over 230c for the heat to reach the thermostat that is just under the hob plate. Most food is cooked at a lower temperature than this. The timer is only for presetting a time meal it is not a minute timer which would be more useful especially if you could hear it. Regret ever buying the cooker. Would never buy the brand again.

Easy to use and easy to clean, for a guy (sexist) anything that might make a piazzas light and yet moist. Its a huge win!! V v good and all stuff even slow cooking seems that much better, I cook from books so I honestly say this does everything great.

Do Not Buy from Hotpoint
Can you leave a zero (0) stared review. Hotpoint are in simple terms awful. We bought a new cooker from them 15 months ago and have had the same fault with the oven 3 times. We're now being forced to pay for a support/protect policy in fear that every time we call, we're told it could cost us hundreds of pounds to fix. Currys who we bought it through will accept a return only if Hotpoint will issue an uplift number that they won't do. The same part for the same issue has been replaced every time. We spent a lot of money on this item and are now in constant fear that it will shut off when we use it or dare to leave the kitchen whilst the oven is on.
