Great Sequel!
I loved the first book and I loved this one. It has all the wit, excitement, and heart pounding moments as the first book had, but this time there's heartbreak as well. She puts clues all throughout the book but so subtly that you never know until the very end! It's an OH YEA moment! I can't wait to read more and hope there's a lot more to come with this series. LOVE it!!!! Mary is definitely my kind of gal.

So Fun..
This gets 4.75 stars.. I felt like I had read this one but I just had read the first couple of chapters and not finished it, it was really good. It does at the end have a death of a animal but it was a ghost animal, still hits you in the heart though just warning... What I like about S.A. Hunter's books is the close net family of Mary, Gran and her best friend Rach it makes you enjoy the stories so much more and laugh at the craziness of these Ghost. Recommend to all who love thrilling ghost, family and friendships with some high school life lessons to boot.. On to the next one to see who Mary has to save.In short Mary has to find a way to get rid of a Shadowman who takes the souls of the weak or dying a little at a time and with the help of Gran and some friends they figure out who is behind it and well you read it and enjoy getting thrilled like me... Loved this book. Love this author. Intriguing, insightful, surprising, and really immersive.
I was so impressed after reading the first book in the series that I instantly hopped onto Amazon and purchased this one. My day flew by in a haze as I immersed myself into this world and the character's life. This author has a real gift for capturing and portraying believable characters in a way that really brings the story to life. You can relate to Mary and will find yourself on the edge of your seat throughout. Every character, no matter how insignificant, comes alive in unique ways. This is one gifted author and I can't wait to read more of Hunter's work. In fact, I am desperately hoping for two things: 1.) the author brings back Chowder (how could you S.A.? How could you???) and 2.) that they write with such alacrity I wont have to wait long for the next book in the series. I can hardly stand not having it my hand right now!Start with Scary Mary and purchase this book. You don't even need to request a sample first. It's so good you wont have any complaints (until you get to the part about Chowder and cry like I did!)

JUST AS GOOD BOOK 2
If you liked book 1 then you will enjoy book 2. We see Mary continue to grow in her gift and her rival who she needs to help ,possible discover she has a gift. This story was exciting and the villain very clever and sufficiently creepy. There is a good twist played out to a harsh end and Mary is left with questions to ask herself. On the plus side a little romance may be heading her way. Mary does have to learn that she can share her burden and stop keeping secrets from her friends otherwise it to will haunt her. We will see maybe is book 3.

Great sequel!
While not the target audience for this book, I enjoyed it a great deal. I found the first story, Scary Mary, on POI and was intrigued by the book description and downloaded it. I didn't put the book down until I was finished. (It was a fairly short book.) The next day, I found and purchased this sequel. I enjoyed Stalking Shadows as much, if not more, than Scary Mary. I don't want to go into a long description as there is enough in the previous reviews, but I wanted to provide a "real" review. (I am very suspect of glowing reviews from an otherwise empty profile.) It pretty much picks up where Scary Mary left off, and we get to know the characters in much more depth. The characters are believable, some you love, some you don't, but even the unlikable characters aren't as easy to dislike as in the first book. I will be keeping an eye out for more stories about Scary Mary.

Fleshed Out
I liked this, the sequel of Scary Mary, better than the first. The characters seemed fleshed out more, especially those with skeletal structures holding them upright. The story was less about high school bullies and more about a girl with abilities beyond those of her peers. I found that refreshing. Bullies may always be there giving them any attention seems to give them power over us. Let just get on with being alive and in our own power. So Mary isn't so scary, neither is Gran. Rach is a bit scary. She needs to spend time as an intern at the morgue to see if she can hold her own.Glad my husband pointed me to these books. They were fun. I do plan to read Unicorn Bait next.

Could have been better
Story was okay. first book was better. Looking forward to next one. Wondering if Vicky will change her attitude towards Mary! If she can't seem to say anything nice, she should at least stop the hateful attitude!

More Please
I really enjoyed the first book and couldn't wait to read the second. The Second is better than the first. Mary can't catch a break. She defeats a real meanie ghost in the first book and loses the only guy who has ever paid her any attention, that she happens to really like, to the Evil Cheerleader Hickey Vicky and now Vicky is haunting her dreams. Something is attacking people in their local hospital and it's up to Mary and Gran to stop it. Mary definitely has guts but lacks in self confidence. She is very awkward when it comes to boys and when Kyle starts showing an interest in Mary it makes for some laughs. I don't want to spoil too much. If you liked the first read the second. It's really good, but my only complaint is they aren't longer.

Mary II
Once again, Mary will be haunted by supernatural and heart problems. She'll understand that the choices we make define who we are.Second book in the "Scary Mary" series, this too is an exciting YA, a quick and entertaining read.

Scary Mary is great stuff
When I read the cover of this book I was expecting something completely different to what I got but thats not a bad thing - it turned out to be scary, funny and you end up liking Mary quite a lot. Definately worth a read and the fact that it leaves the door wide open for the next books is great. My only complaint would be that it all seemed to be a bit rushed - more time needed to be taken to flesh out the story and the characters but I guess that can be done over the book series.

Bought this after reading the first book, I found the storyline very interesting and gripping in parts. When I finished this book I went on to read the following 4 books and am hoping there is going to be a 7th book to continue this fantastic series.
