Ok, so I have a 15 yr old dog that started having incontinence issues about a yr ago, related to kidney disease. It's progressed and she is in a diaper full time. However, sometimes she leaks out, or is able to get the diaper off and has had a couple pee accidents on the carpet in the bedrooms. One time she expressed her freaking anal gland and stunk up the whole freaking house. I thought for SURE we were going to have to replace the carpets. I tried 2 other "enzyme" type cleaners that had worked previously for me, but the stink was so bad, I thought I'd vomit. My daughter had to vacate her room for almost 2 weeks during this process. Well, I came across this stuff on Amazon, and thought I'd give it a try. Hell, I was planning on replacing the carpets anyway, so if it didn't work, I'd be out a few extra bucks. If it did work, I'd save hundreds. I did the "soak it with cleaner, leave a wet towel on it over night" trick in my daughter's room. Left it on for 24 hrs. Let it dry completely, windows open, fan running for several days. I then used my cheap-o carpet cleaner on the area (hot water only, no soap) and let it dry/air out another couple days. The smell was gone. Well, the anal gland skunk smell was gone, and in place was a citrus-y smell. The citrus-y smell has since subsided and she is back in her room. We did the same soak in cleaner/wet towel trick in our bedroom, but we didn't use the carpet cleaner (with so many people sleeping in our room, we didn't have time to wait a couple days for it to dry). Anyway, I did have to treat 2 small areas for a 2nd time, but I only sprayed the cleaner on and let it air dry on it's own. It NO LONGER SMELLS in either room! I seriously can't believe it got the anal skunk smell out. Buy 2 bottles.

This isn't just for dogs. It actually neutralizes the odors and has a really good smell. I use it for wipe down the litter box and trash can every time I change it. Been using it for years. I've tried other brands that claim they do the same and this one is SO MUCH BETTER, even the ones that are made for cats.

This stuff really does neutralize pet odors. If you have a puppy that’s in training, you definitely need this stuff for indoors accidents. If your pet marks or misses the training pad and gets on your hardwood floors or carpet, this is what you need. Not soap as much. If you don’t use this and scrub your rug or carpet out with just carpet shampoo the odor still lingers and more importantly your pet will always go back to that spot and do its business there. But if you follow the directions on this bottle and use this, you won’t have lingering odors and your pet won’t even smell their own urine there and return to it. I actually like the way this stuff smells. My dog goes on a training pad inside the house when it rains and she’s not use to training pads so her aim is off sometimes and her urine gets on my hardwood floors. After removing the urine, I spray this on the area, let it air dry and my house never smells bad. This does not damage or discolor my natural hardwood oak floors either. When she was a puppy she use to think our bathroom rugs and the hallway rug was her training pad so we used this quite a bit. And you can’t just wash bath rugs with urine because the smell still lingers even after a good wash. You gotta absorb the urine first with paper towels or so, then spray this on to neutralize the odor, then wash your bath rugs. I can’t say enough about this product. It’s a must have if you have pets.
