Copic Marker Copic Sketch Markers, Pale Fruit Pink (SM-E000S)

The color of the ink is exactly the same as the color on the cap. I like to know the color I’m reaching for is going to come out as promised. As a pleasant little side-detail, even the name of the colors they choose makes sense! The brush-tip is smooth with a bit of bounce. It releases the ink precisely and according to slight pressure, a predictable flow that gives me exact control of where I want the ink to go. This marker is alcohol based and dries very fast - once the ink is on the paper, blending has to happen right then (you better know your shading-or blending color before this !) to be seamless and smooth. The colorless blending marker doesn’t help with blending so much, it pushes the color I want to blend with away, making it lighter - great for highlites. Until the beginning of 2018, when I discovered you-tube tutorials and realized how much I wanted to learn fashion illustration, I had only dabbled in silk painting and then, later, I squeezed in a few months of old-master-oil-technique. My experience/knowledge of markers (and any graphic art supplies) was limited by felt-tips from childhood and assorted colors from the 99 Cent store - those things and markers like this one are not at all related, not even like a four times removed cousin. I wish it wasn’t true that when it comes to markers, you get what you pay for. But it is true. Believe me, I’ve tried. “How bad can it be?”, I thought when I ordered the first pack of 100 double-ended, guaranteed blend-able in 100 different shades, no bleed, no dry-out, professional quality “Art” Markers for the irresistible price of $19.90. I wish I could tell you this was the only experience I needed to know better. It wasn’t. A shoe-box full with leaky, dried out, explosive ink-spouting things with phantasy color names and caps that have nothing to do with the color that actually comes out on the paper and don’t blend at all, even with those colorless blending-tools I bought separately and three or four sets of more then bizzare skin-tone-sets that nature wouldn’t allow in the worst circumstance on a human skin, and when I made my own color samples, I had to admit that all I really had was maybe ten different colors, at the most tells a very different story. Out of about 250 cheap markers, ten of them still sit on my desk, mixed in with markers like this one. You really really get what you pay for. In the face of 240 pens that will end up at Goodwill, a $7 marker that does exactly what it says it will do is a pretty good deal in my book of deals.

The Copic Marker. What's not to love? For the Artist. For the Art Student. For the Art lover. If you enjoy art, this marker is for you. This is for the RV29 Crimson Copic Sketch Marker. The Copic Marker is a Dual Tip Marker with the the brush nib at one end and the broad nib at the other. For those that don't know, it's Alcohol based, not water based, for a professional, permanent, outstanding finish. It IS refillable, and the Nibs ARE replaceable. The sketch has a flat barrel, which makes drawing and coloring comfortable in your hand. The nibs/long barrel holds a lot of ink. This marker does bleed, so thick paper is required. (Bristol, Watercolor... Cardstock will work, but will still have some bleeding - just be sure to have a drop-sheet.) This is a dark,deep pinkish-red color. Very pretty! A must have in any collection. As much as I love the Copic marker, I docked this one a star because I felt, after a lot of research and hunting, that for the price they are asking now versus when I bought my marker (I paid $5.39) that $7.23 (the price they are asking now) is too high. If you look around, you can find Copics for under $6. Usually around $5 or less. I won't pay $7 for one, and you shouldn't either. In fact, I actually like the Prismacolors a little better, and you can find them for less than Copics all day long, so if I had to choose, I'd go to a Prismacolor. Don't get me wrong, I love the Copic, but the Prismacolors are just as nice, if not better. I actually think the Prismacolors color a little more smooth - and that they are brighter and more vivid. But, you can't go wrong with a Copic Marker, and everyone needs several pinks/reds in their collection. I highly recommend the Copic Marker for all Artists everywhere. Providing the price is right.

These are great. I use them for tying flies. Color white tread any color. Same with dubbing.

I purchased this months ago and just now decided to write a review. I have to say, even after 6 months, this marker works amazingly. This is the first Copic marker I've ever used, and I'm highly impressed. PROS: Has vivid color, doesn't fade, blends well. I was impressed with how vivid the color was, and it blends smoothly. Most of all, the drawings I've colored with this still look as they did months ago. The color doesn't fade at all and looks very professional. CONS: The only bad things I can come up with for this product have to do with not knowing how to use it. If you don't know how to blend or what paper to use this marker on, it doesn't work quite as well as you want. But this is where research comes in. Honestly, since I looked up how to use these, I didn't have any problems. If you don't know how to use Copic markers, I'd suggest researching how to color and blend with them (there are plenty of video tutorials on YouTube). For Copic markers to look their best, I'd recommend buying special marker paper for alcohol-based inks. A tip for first time users: this marker DOES bleed through everyday paper and general sketchbook paper. Also, it runs a bit, so if you are concerned with staying inside a line, make sure to color at least a couple of centimeters away from the line. All in all, this product was worth the money and far better than I expected.

My wife has been card making for blooming years now. All her crap has taken up half the house, but that's another issue. She thought she had all the copics, but was shocked one day when doing a card for someone and requiring the perfect colour to highlight their plague infested teeth, that she didn't have the right colour. Rather than make do with a jaundiced effect and being a perfectionist. She demanded I buy this colour, or she threatened to cook my dinner. Feeling threatened, I immediately ordered the pen and lo, it arrived within 3 days. She was able to make the receipient of the card's teeth appropriately plague coloured, and my digestion was saved from the horror of her cooking. One tip, if you really want to annoy a crafter, refer to their pens as crayons, they really hate that.

Colours are true to picture but you can also check the copic colour charts as well to see how they compare to others. Refillable as well and you can get the inks that will refill it a few times. Oval shape as well so don't roll, fit comfortably in your hand. Better than the other rival markers I have used e.g promarker and Winston and newton but that could be due to preference

The Marker arrived on time and the packaging was great, but the marker I received has a little crack in it, though it's not deep enough to leak so I kept it anyways. Apart from that it's a copic so it works as expected and blends extremely well.

Bought an extra one for a project that needed a lot of red. A great marker with god control and colour consistency. Would recommend this and other Copic markers to anyone that needs high end hand rendering. The only downside is the price.
