You cannot beat the quality of the optics on these sunglasses

Oh how I've missed these!!This is my THIRD pair of Makaha.First pair I put on top of my head at the beach- gone. These are a little heavier than a piece of paper. I had to drive right then & go get another pair. A few months later that pair was stolen. Unreal. I chose not to believe they are jinxed & just got this pair. I have about five Maui Jims & three Ray Bans. Nothing compares to this quality.If you ever wonder if they're really polarized, here's a trick- tinted windows will look weird & have rainbows.As far as the broken reviews, I can almost guarantee that person tried to adjust them. You do that & they will break. You have to take them to a sunglass shop or such to have them heat adjusted. Should be free to do it. They have a machine that warms it, therefore making the plastic pliable. If you smile & your cheeks raise them, the bridge needs to be adjusted.Another neat thing, when we go out in the ocean- I can clearly see fish under the water.Lastly, Maui Jim has good customer service. They don't work for free though....

Actually, this is my third pair of Makaha's (1st one was stolen years ago; 2nd one I accidentally broke a few months ago). MJ seems to have improved the clarity of the lenses; must be the updated technology. While wearing them, the image is quite clear, though losing none of the protection or color of the lenses. My previous pairs' temples were a bit shorter than this one, which not a big deal because the comfort remains unaffected. [This time I bought them because I was disappointed with the Transitions of my new Rx glasses; the color doesn't darken enough and I didn't know that. It was my 1st time requesting Transitions on new eye glasses, but eye clinic tech didn't mention that fact. So, I decided to get this 3rd pair of MJ's and I'm quite content!] Since this pair is Rx-able, I'll just get my Rx on them next year with my insurance.

In my opinion, these are the BEST sunglasses on the market. They are very expensive, but I find them worth the money

I have never had better comfort and optics from any other company. I've owned a variety of good models. This is so comfortable and makes the desert here in Tucson bearable. That's serious sun. I wear these daily though I have several, including 2 other pairs of MJ.

This is my second pair. First ones fell victim to a child. Great syle, no visual distortion. For a person who suffers for light sensitivity they do great. It is still bright but no glare. I have tries Ray ban, Oakley, and native but I will only do maui Jim from now on

The glasses are great, but the case is not ideal at all. It does not work for the dome shaped glasses. Have to find some other kind of case. Really expensive glasses with no case to protect them.
