Whoppers Malted Milk Balls, 12 oz Cartons (Pack of 2)

Ordered them and they came next day. Flavor was great a few were stuck together but this is Texas and 106 degrees so feeling lucky the whole box wasn't melted!!!!

This review is not for the product itself. I love Whoppers and eat them whenever I get the craving, which is every few months. They are my favorite chocolate treat and always satisfy me. However, I learned, the hard way, that I should never order them from Amazon!!! I have enclosed two pictures. The first photo shows the condition my Whoppers arrived in. Anticipating them, I had watched for the UPS truck to arrive and met the driver at the door, expecting the chocolate might be slightly melted, since I live in Arizona and it was the end of August. But I wasn't expecting a lumpy mass that more closely resembled a pile of doggie doo-doo than anything I would want to eat. I immediately contacted Amazon via online chat to voice my discontent (that's putting it mildly!) and was granted a refund. Naturally they didn't want them back, and since my craving wanted satisfaction, I thought if I put the candy mass in the refrigerator, I might be able to break it into edible pieces. Wrong!! I put it in the refrigerator and left it there for three hours. MInd you, it was the refrigerator, not the freezer. When I took it out, I attempted to break it apart with a sharp knife. No luck. The knife wouldn't even penetrate the mass. I tried biting into it and my teeth couldn't even make a dent in the chocolate. Finally, I put the solid mass in a plastic freezer bag and tried pounding it with a hammer. The second picture shows you what the result of that was. In the end, I was able to break it apart, or rather, nearly pulverize it, by using my husbands heavy steel hammer. I'm going to eat this candy if I have to put it in my blender and puree it!!! But am I angry at the people who packed and sold this candy? The level of my anger cannot be found. I am outraged. They sent this candy through the mail, in the hottest part of summer, to Arizona, in a PLASTIC BAG!!!! Can you imagine the stupidity of that act. If they had put it in a box, it might have stood a chance. But to ride around all day in a UPS truck (it was delivered in mid afternoon) in Arizona, that poor container of Whoppers never stood a chance. And I was robbed of the satisfaction of allowing one of those delectable orbs to melt in my mouth. They did refund me, but in view of the level of frustration I had to go through just to taste one morsel of that candy, I think they owe me a double refund! Buy the candy, but buy it in the store.

I just love Whoppers; I am absolutely satisfied with all aspects of this purchase!

They were pretty good no complaints

Always bought these at the movie when I was young. This time, these were hard and without flavor. Were all melted and stuck together in one big lump. However, will reorder (and you should ) when the weather cools in Jan/Feb. TO the producer, DON'T use the old product ( melted ) .People like your malt balls !! DON'T disappoint them and lose customers.

I bought this specifically for my hubby. He loves sweets but likes to keep his girlish figure in check. This sweet goodness allows him to exercise restraint simultaneously as he can tumble out a few in his hand and put the rest away. He loves them.
