Does not feel safe
I've had this for about 3 months now and i am planning on buying a new bedframe which is why i remembered to do a review. I have had lots of issues with this bed frame. The biggest issue I had was assembling this product. The instruction manual is not user friendly and just made things much more complicated than they needed to be. A few peices of this furniture set had the pre drilled holes in incorrect spots so i had to redrill them in where they actually were supposed to be. There also wasnt enough screws as there were a few missing thankfully I had some extra lying around. As for the bed itself, it shakes as someone goes up the steps and gets comfortable in bed. It feels as if its going to tip over if theres too much movement. I wish the railing sourounding the bed went a couple inches higher because it feels as if you can just roll over it. I make sure to put pillows around the railing opposite to the wall for added safety. As for the storage space, i was really hoping it had drawers inside but there isnt any which makes it difficult to fully utalize that storage space because if you need something from the back you need to take everything out to get it and then put everything back in. Also, when you open the storage space the wood just completely falls and hits the steps loudly. That wood frequently falls out of place since theyre only held into place by a small peice metal that tends to slip.As for the desk space, its a long and skinny desk (i wish it was a bit wider) but it still works perfectly fine. As for the wood itself the finish on them was not ideal especially around the corners and edges. On a few peices, the wood wasnt smooth and was still rough on at least one side. One positive thing i can say about the bed frame is the railing for the stairs feels sturdy. But thats really the only thing that feels strudy throughout the entire bed frame. I would not get this it does not feel safe at all and i would worry about falling off or the bed collapsing during an earthquake if you live in a place were earthquakes are frequent.Even after all that it does do its job as a bed frame which is why ive had it for 3 months.
