I purchased a Yard Guard cover for my 36’ x 16’ pool and the springs that came with it had gotten stretched and deformed over the last year so I bought a set of these to try them out. They are even better than the ones that came with my cover! These are a lot heavier gauge than the original and strap in the same. Great deal!

For the swimming pool cover

Springs are more heavy duty than original springs that came with my Tru lock pool cover and they can take a beating. They hold tension and don't require maximum compression to achieve the needed taughtness the pool cover requires. The plastic spring covers are also durable. I'll be buying more in the future as other original springs will need replacing.
