OXO Good Grips Glass Salad Spinner

I love to cook and bake, all of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare. Fresh leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables are star s n our meals. I decided to upgrade my preparation technique by purchasing this OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner. Absolutely thrilled with this purchase! - It actually works! Sized as advertised and easy to operate. Makes rinsing and drying fresh leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables easy and fun! - Care Suggestion: The product information states that all pieces of the salad spinner are top rack dishwasher safe. However, I do NOT recommend cleaning the spinner in the dishwasher, as the caustic dishwashing detergent and heat - particularly from the drying cycle - can degrade the plastic and silicone components of the spinner. I recommend hand washing for best care. - The Pump: The pop up pump is loud when you disengage it, as shown in the video. I was very startled the first time I disengaged the pump, I did not expect the pop up noise to be so loud! (And yes, I had a good laugh at myself!) - A terrific value and a handy product that will be a workhorse in your kitchen. - User Manual: You can download the 1-page user manual from the Amazon product page. I’ve gone through several salad spinners over the years, and this OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner is by far the best one I’ve owned. The pump mechanism is incredibly smooth and easy to use, and it spins lettuce, herbs, and other vegetables dry in just a few seconds. The brake button is a great feature because it stops the basket immediately without having to wait for it to slow down on its own. The bowl itself is sturdy and attractive enough to use as a serving bowl, which means fewer dishes to wash. What impressed me most is how effective it is at removing water. My lettuce stays crisp longer in the refrigerator, and salads don’t end up watery anymore. The non-slip base keeps the bowl steady on the countertop, and the lid locks down for easier storage. Cleaning is simple, and the overall build quality feels premium. It may cost a little more than cheaper salad spinners, but the durability and performance make it well worth the investment. I picked the smaller version of this salad spinner and it's the perfect size. The bigger one feels like it would eat up too much cabinet space for a household of one or two, and it's been the right call. The one-handed pump on the lid spins the inner basket, flinging water through the colander base into the outer bowl, and a brake button stops it instantly when I need it to. The components feel really sturdy, and the whole thing separates into dishwasher-safe pieces for easy cleanup. It dries greens, fruits and everything else I've thrown at it well enough that my dressing doesn't turn watery anymore. The only drawback for the smaller size is that you have to really cut up larger procure like broccoli, Brussel sprouts, etc to fit (or wash and dry them in smaller batches).

Does the job well. Has a nice, sturdy, quality feel about it. Great addition to our kitchen.

Overall I am happy with this purchase as this salad spinner works well for up to 2 pax servings: - 3-in-1 feature (plastic bowl, basket and pump): I can soak the salad leaves in the bowl, take out the basket to remove the water and put it back to spin off the water. - Easy and fast: Only take 2-3 pump to spin off the water from the salad leaves very fast. I can make a salad within 10 mins with the spinner. Before this, I normally prepare and leave the salad leaves to dry in the fridge over night, or if not I have to use kitchen towel to dry the excess water - For small household: It works very well for up to 2 pax (normal serving). I think it’s not an issue as I can just do 2 to 3 rounds if I want to make bigger servings - Easy storage: The 3-in-1 feature saves storage space - Quality: The quality of the plastic bowl, basket and pump is value for money. My experience using this spinner is not too bad. This is a salad spinner - to spin off the water from the salad leaves after rinsing/ washing. If you expect to use this spinner to remove/dry all the water after washing the salad leaves, this is not for you. The salad leaves will still be wet. You will probably need a dryer.

Does its job effortlessly. Genuine. First buy from this site. Really happy. Oxo has some great products and this is one of them.
