T-fal 84245 Comfort Santoku Knife, 5", Stainless Steel

This is a very good knife, cuts through items quickly without effort.

Having lived in France, I know that T-fal (called Tefal there) is a very mid-market brand, far from the top. But for the price I decided to take a chance. Looks good so far. The handle is plastic, but it seems strong and is comfortable to hold. The blade is thick and extremely sharp. The plastic sheath is a nice touch, allowing you to store the knife in a drawer with other implements without fear of dulling the blade.

It is good side for my small hand. I was looking for Santoku shape knife. It is really comfortable !

This knife is easy to handle with my small hands. It cuts well and I have already used it a lot to cut up veggies. The price was good. Time will tell if it holds up well.

Works great, feels good. Food sticks less than other knives, but just barely. Arrived exceptionally sharp. My go to for vegtable prep

Was looking for a good knife for meat that is also easier to control (sometimes have weak grip). The shorter blade really does make it easier to control.This knife slid through raw roast like it was softened butter. Trimmed out solid fat veining, and sliced outer (stringy/oozy/stretchy/refuses to be cut!) layer like it was nothing.Less than 3 minutes to do something that has taken 10 minutes and 3 implements. Meat ✂️, , serrated knife, and long smooth blade knife.I will be getting a GOOD set of these knives and replacing the old-style kitchen knife sets.

The knife itself is okay. Brand is French. They hide that the knife is made in China.

For the price, this knife performed well and made it easier on my hand. T-fal has been a well known name and I didn't hesitate to make this purchase. My one and only complaint was noticing that the end cap didn't align with the handle.
