Can you please tell me the difference between old and new version? The information about both items are the same. Thank you!

I cannot speak to the difference. It has served me very well.

I didn’t eat a manual with my steamer , how can I get one ?

(I am sure that they aren't trying to eat the manual, typos do happen), I would say, contact the manufacturer and they can probably help you out.

Of what metal is the heating element made?

It appears to be steel, but not sure. But I love it works like a charm!

No Drip Tray? Isn't that needed to prevent dripping over the sides?

The baskets kind of “nest” inside the steamer tray (I don’t know if I’m using the right terminology, but as condensation collects inside the lid and basket and drips down, it goes back down into the steamer tray. Essentially, the steamer tray works as a drip tray. The only time I’ve had drips is when I j correctly use the wrong sized (i.e too large) basket, which then doesn’t nest properly. And I’ve been using this for a good three years now.
