This has been our go to leash for years. We just misplaced ours and I'm about to order another. We have a Ridgeback X German Shepard that we rescued after she was dumped in our field. She loves walks and we purchased this before we knew how much of a climber she is! She loves climbing rocks so this leash really fits her.As far as it fitting us it is very comfy and allows the walker to get a good secure grasp should the pup decide to tug a little. Its the perfect length for a medium/large dog as it allows them freedom without being too long to wrap into your hand to keep them at your hip. The clip is chunky and secure with the leash itself being very rugged and perfect to withstand a beating (or occasional chewing!)

I like it. It works well with my harness. The plastic part is starting to come off but could be because I have a pulling husky.update: I've had this since July 17 and it's still in good shape which says a lot for me because my dog really knows how to pull a leash. This leash gives you a little more control. Only thing I'm noticing is that if you do not screw the latch, if you have a pulling dog she can get loose due to the latch opening. I've had that happen a few times from taking her out to pee and not screwing the latch. It's durable, she hasn't been able to chew it apart like some of the others. They should really fix the latch issue. Misleading customers who have pulling dogs without good recall can be extremely unsafe. My dog doesn't recall well so the latch issue is a safety problem. To be safe training is also part of the issue. But huskies aren't known for their recall skills lol. If there was a newer addiction to this where the latch is improved this would get 5 stars from me.

This is a winner! Absolutely lightweight and fully secure (we have a runner, who can shake his head skillfully and get the leash unbuckled and then...RUN!!) this has been absolutely foolproof. I was a little concerned as some reviewers said the carabiner was lightweight...but I can assure you it is good quality and seems solid to me. It certainly is not a "climb safe carabiner" - those alone cost 10-20 bucks at REI. You certainly can easily replace the one included with those. I haven't found it necessary to do it with my 50lb (and growing) dog.RockPet - I have one request - can you make one that is a little shorter as well - I want to get one that is just 2' long, so I can keep him right next to me while walking?

This product is not what they claim it to be. Received it in the mail today and am already processing the return as soon as this review is typed. I ordered this leash because I needed something stronger than the average store bought leash for my Coonhound.The ad and description both state that the product is supplied with a twist locking mountain climber carabiner. This came in with a P.O.S. cheap $2 Wal-Mart special carabiner you hang your keys on. Don't waste your time on purchasing this product. Do yourself a favor and go to a specialty pet store or get a carabiner from a sporting good store.

Leash snapped where the connector/rubber is after using it less than 5 timesUPDATEI got a faulty leash and customer service reached out and in detail explained how they recently made improvemen's specifically where leash snapped to ensure better quality. They also sent me the new and improved and it's been great so far! Very sturdy feel

Your large, powerful agile dog will NOT get off of this leash so easily! The carabiner is much more stable than the usual clip-style leash attachment. Note: you have to be sure to really screw the carabiner closed tightly, or the screw part can come loose. I eventually replaced it with a carabiner from REI for the best security. In fact, for smaller & medium sized dogs, a normal leash is actually fine, but a carabiner will still give you more security than a clip.

Great leash for the price. The carabiner that it comes with is not the best and there have been a couple of occasions where it has come unclipped when slack is given in the leash. It has a cover that screws tight to keep it from opening to help with this issue, but it's definitely not reliable like a quick draw carabiner. Still definitely recommend this leash!

Ordered two, one a few months ago and one a few days ago. The first one I ordered has been great but the second one is not the same leash? I’m kinda pissed about it because I specifically ordered this for the screw enforcement and the second one doesn’t have it
