how long are the needles ?

I’m away from home so I cannot measure but plenty long enough to tenderize thick cuts!! I use it especially on Wild Game meats and none better!! Excellent kitchen tool !!!

What is the difference between regular vs large ?

Dear customer For the regular meat tenderizer is not detachable ,The large tenderizer can be detachable. Will be more easy for cleaning

How many needles in the smaller on vs the larger one?

The smaller one has 16 needles arranged in 2 circles, one inside the other. The larger one has 48 thin blades arranged in 3 parallel rows of 16 blades each.

How do you get the meat out of the hollow needles?

The Blades, Needles on mine are solid with edges on the tips that may give you the illusion that they are hollow. They are solid!!! They have no holes.
