Credit to the author for doing something I can’t do
Richard Bailey was able to do something I’ve never done, even though I’d like to - write and publish a book. So for that, as a small time artist supporting a small time artist, I will give this book five stars. I hope it works out and he keeps writing. That said, this book is not great. Parts of it are not bad, but as a whole, it just falls short for me. If it was maybe 10,000 words shorter I think that would actually be a benefit. This book reads like college dudes telling stories to each other, rather than a proper novel. The flip-flopping protagonists/narrator is a neat trick, but making one first-person and then continuing to use that character also as a sort of omniscient narrator is very weird, which only adds to the prose problem. It also badly needs to be seen by an editor (or two or three) because there are consistent grammar and mechanical errors on every page.To the author: Mega-props to doing the thing and getting your book written and putting it out there! Have some professionals look at the next one and do what they say. Best of luck. Go Dukes.

A fun ride
Action, suspense, murder, a cover-up, and a plot twist at the end. I found myself binge-reading to see what would happen next. Would definitely recommend.

Fun Read
At about 40% it is easy to say this book is exciting and compelling. There are fight scenes and even an evangelical sermon. If you like "How to Get Away With Murder" you will enjoy this book.

Plenty of action but character development a bit lacking.
Kept your interest, good plot, fast action, however never really felt you got to understand character development. Would read another. Think author has potential.

Good Read!
Suspenseful, tense, dark and desperate; this story rocks the innocence of young adults, as the characters are faced with harsh realities and devastating decisions. It kept me anxious and at the edge of my seat, and each of the characters had a level of depth that made the morally-ambiguous situations all the grayer. As I struggled to decide who to root for, the stakes were further raised, until the eventful conclusion of it all. I’d recommend this book for anyone looking to follow a twisted murder case to the bitter end, from the perspective of college students. It was a very good read!

A Page-Turner From The Start
College is about the exhilaration of making your own choices and the agony of facing unanticipated consequences. “Thus To Innocence” explores this dichotomy through characters navigating the college experience in their varied and uniquely intriguing ways. From the start, suspense builds through foreshadowing and picks up momentum as characters are developed and events unfold. Soon the reader is fully invested in what the future holds for these young people as we go on their journey filled with unpredictably shocking and surprising twists and turns. A perfect book club selection ripe for discussion about whether justice is possible in an imperfect world.

I don’t recommend this book.
This could have been an interesting storyline, but unfortunately, so much of the book did not ring true that I had a hard time getting around it. The story just wasn’t at all believable.

Thus to Innocense
College life, at time of new found independence, finding one self and good times quickly turns to a sequence of escalating unintended tragedies and death. With nowhere to turn and no one they can trust, three undergrads find themselves in a cat and mouse game for their lives; a suspenseful journey to survive, avenge the lives of the innocent and destroy the evil that threatens to bring a small town college to its knees. Intense and addictive, Thus to Innocence is a riveting rollercoaster from cover to cover.
