It's silicone so it's not slipping as your cats run around or aggressively eat over it. It's so easy to clean and easy to try. The size is small but enough for my cats food bowl and water bowl on it too. If you have wooden floors I highly recommend a mat because the water from the bowl can stain the wood and worse case it causes the wood to buckle or splint.

This was so cute, the silicone is nice as I use it for my cats water fountain so they don’t rip it over or get water on the floor and it works great! Fur does tend to stick pretty well but it’s easy to clean

I wouldn't have bought this if I saw it in person; very floppy, thin, just flimsy. And it comes folded in half so there's a crease but I guess that will flatten out. I got it to tidy up the kitten buffet area but it attracts cat hair and the crumbs are super obvious. Don't get the white one I guess. I was hoping for a sturdy placemat. Ill keep it for awhile, I didn't wash it at first so maybe the static made it so yucky. I washed it and it does look really cute when perfectly clean but it seems high maintenance. That was a long review for a placemat!

Fits the bowls ^.^ Cute + the right size even in my small kitchen. My Jupiter brings down her larger chunks to the mat with zero issues. Easy to clean + just thin enough. No creases from packaging. Initial new scent but not in a bad way. Dissipates quickly after a quick rinse. The price was the lowest for this colour at the time of purchase so that was a plus as well.

This is thin but durable, and doesn’t slide. Unfortunately, because of the shape, our cat still throws about 30% of his wet food all over the counter. On the fence about keeping it because it’s so cute, and the color is great.

This is a very cute, nice quality mat for pet bowls. You don’t have to worry about the bowls or the mat sliding around which is really nice. It’s also a good thickness and quality. It’s fairly easy to clean, but use a stiff brush because some materials can stick to it. It also takes a bit of time to dry.

Update: Easy to cut with a blade and ruler. BUT it was shipped folded in half and I don't know how to flatten it. This "Blackish Green" food mat is really a Dark Teal color (matches the "Blue" food dish). I couldn't find a small cat food mat so I'll cut this one to take up less space. We have a water fountain for our cat so we only need a 10 inch or smaller mat for just her food dish. It's a good mat, will be fine after I trim it down to the size I need.

BEWARE. Loved it… until despite daily clean ups and cleaning it weekly, it grew dark mold on the back that left stains… wondering if it’s more porous than *genuine silicone*? Not risking continuing to expose my kitty to this! Very concerned to be shown this has been growing on the backside. My understanding is that genuine silicone is not porous- the “hand wash only” is a red flag that this is not in fact genuine silicone. Will be looking for safer brands for my pets! My cat had started to get acne on her chin- ensured all her bowls were ceramic or stainless steel- turns out this Mat may have been the culprit!
