I like to cook/bake. As a retiree who prepares food for two people, I don't always have staples like milk on hand, and many of the dishes I make call for some portion of a cup in the ingredients list. For this, I often substitute either low-fat or whole powered milk. The whole milk, especially, is very difficult to mix! The container doesn't say whether to use cold or hot water, and doesn't specify whether to add the power to water, or powder to the water. (And if it did, I'd probably forget which was right, anyway...)So when I started seeing ads for these motorized magnetic mixing cups, I thought it was worth a try! I chose this one based upon price and capacity. I wanted one with at least a 12oz capacity, and chose one that uses replaceable batteries, rather than rechargeables, to keep the cost down. As it turns out, I usually have a substantial supply of alkaline batteries that I use in other devices, so having to replace a battery on occasion won't be a hardship.I've noticed that some prospective buyers have expressed a desire to purchase a version of this cup without the printing, and I would've gone for that option, too. But I bought this for its utility, not its appearance...So far, I've used it to mix my powered milk, and it does a great job. Much easier and much neater than trying to use a spoon, fork or whisk in a measuring cup, which is my previous method. Needless to say, it's a heckuva lot faster, too!5 stars to start, and I'll update my review if my opinion changes over time.

I bought 2 of these. for myself and hubby. I love that i can stir my coffee before sip to balance the taste. Especially perfect for hot choco! Since hot coco sinks down the coco, this is perfect to stir your drink prior to sipping. Worth it! I placed just ordinary Amazon batteries and have not changed it since purchase. So this product is not draining batteries fast. Good for gifting too! But i gift it to myself and hubby. Love it!

I bought this cup for my Mrs and she loves it. It works as advertised. It does a marvelous job on stirring her coffee. She will not use any other mug for drinking coffee. Now, I'm gonna get one for myself. This mug creation was brilliant! Very practical and we highly recommend it!

It's great it stirs itself I like the cup I let hot water stay n it first to keep my coffee got. I don't like that the batteries are so close to the base I'm afraid I might get water into the battery compartment.

I do love this item but 2 of the 4 I have purchased do not work. The problem was the capsule that mixes would jump out of the middle of the bottom of the cup to the edge, therefore would not mix. The company was easy to work with and exchanged the item with no questions asked.

I had spices such as cinnamon, tumeric and ginger to my coffee. I also use Mud/Water which is very aptly named as I get a pile of grit at the bottom of my cup. This guy keeps it spun up to the last drop… my only issue is it’s small volume only holds half of my usual cup of coffee. I guess the mechanism takes up space. Make a larger version and I’m happier…

Purchased this mug because I love hot chocolate in winter. I always have to keep a spoon in a regular mug, and there is always chocolate left on the bottom. I was afraid the little stirring "pill" would come out, but it seems to be a very strong magnet. Love that I can just push the button to stir, buying another for a friend. Only complaint - I worry about washing it. Battery is in the bottom. There is a plastic cover, but I worry about water getting in battery compartment. I just rinse it out and then wipe down with damp papertowel.
