Great for modesty and comfort under casual summer dresses, kudos for offering plus sizes
Where have these been all my life? Love. Them. From the reviews and Q&A I wasn't sure what I was going to get so here's the deal. This is not a shaper garment. It's made of a soft stretchy fabric that's similar to light weight panties. It has enough Lycra to fit close to the body and not stretch out over the course of the day, but it's not going to suck in a gut. The leg and waist bands are wide and knitted in without any elastic or that weird clear plastic that tries to rip out your leg hair. I am a plus size with a lot of my plus in the thighs so I was worried the legs might cut in or roll up, but the leg band stays flat and stays put, mostly. The legs do creep up a tiny bit over the course of the day, but they stay comfortable; they don't creep all the way up to my you-know-what cutting off my blood supply along the way. I bought my normal size and it hits right at my natural waist, neither too tight nor too loose. The construction is particularly clever. The only seams are at an inner leg gusset so you'll have no lines and no seam to irritate between the thighs. About the only thing that could possibly make these better is the addition of a cotton panel at the crotch although I'm finding that I don't miss it all that much and you can easily add a disposable liner if you need it. Are they hot? Maybe a tiny bit. Summer days routinely reach upper 90F's where I live and they feel about the same as wearing a pair of shorts, certainly warmer than bare legs, but not unduly hot. I actually find them pretty breathable, certainly more than the type of bike shorts I used to wear under dresses.I highly recommend these if you're looking for modesty and comfort under casual summer dresses.UPDATEI liked these so much I ordered two more and they are not the same. Based on the reviews it seems like Jockey might have redesigned at some point so depending on the seller you might get a different item. The waistband is wider on these an it does tend to roll slightly. The inner thigh gusset is made of a different fabric an does make a soft noise as you walk. The overall fit is a bit tighter as well. They're still quite comfortable and functional but I preferred the first pair I purchased.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product!
I don't always write reviews for products purchased via Amazon, but I had to say that I really LOVE the Jockey Life Women's Underwear Skimmies Slipshort. Similar products never had a large enough size, then one day I say an ad on Pinterest w/photo of the slipshorts & I then found them on Amazon. Not only did they have the nude color, they were longer than others I've seen & - best of all - they had a size larger than I had seen anywhere else. There was one (1) 5X in nude, & I bought it. Days later, more 5X nude were available & I purchased more. I was afraid they still would not fit & if they did, that they would cut into my legs, but they were perfect!!! I feel great in them, I look great in them, & I absolutely LOVE them!!!!! Will be buying additional ones (even in a smaller size, as I lose weight). LOVE them!

Fortunately, I sized up one
This underwear gives a smooth line under even silky clothes. Fortunately, I sized up one, so it fit. I normally size up when in doubt because you can take in but can't go bigger. It's like really thick tights , I'll have to wear it for a while to say how it holds up. I carry my weight in my hips and thighs so that's how it fit me. For someone with a different shape it might fit differently. I'm just happy it fits and I must say it's sleek and comfortable even though it it does have hold to it. I can't abide small shape wear because, I feel I can't breathe in them. This holds without feeling tight and restrictive.

The legs roll up.
The item is comfortable. It's stretchy. It seems good quality. The problem is that the legs roll up. After minutes, they are rolled up into boyshort length. This defeats the purpose entirely. They are also somewhat too large for size.

Noisy
Remember how cordory jeans sounded as you walked? This is what these shorts sound like. Zip zip zip zip. Unless you want the world to know you have chub rub don't wear these under a skirt. They're fine as pants liners though for cool weather.

Lovely Lightly Shaping
Wow! Just wow! What a find! I saw this in a YouTube video and decided to take a chance after wasting 60 bucks on SPANX. So very glad I did. Interesting warning for shorter gals. The picture is way misleading. I am 5'1" and 128 and the waist band comes quite a way up my torso. Fortunately for me that is just what I want, but if you're looking for shape wear that falls at the waist then keep looking. . .and good luck. I also tried an Arabella brand product which is just as nice but is really too long. Needs a bit of finesse for my shorter frame. Over all I'm just so pleased with the Jockey shapewear I expect I will buy more.

Not the same
I bought a skimmy for Jockey before and loved it. This one was much smaller then the last and not as comfortable. It works for it's purpose but it does slip down when you move around.

Perfect for skimming tops, dresses and pants
Very soft on my incisional hernia! Not really any compression but very smoothing. Just what I was looking for!
