Yes, the inside is a very soft micro suede and will not scratch gold center links.

I have small wrists- can the cushions fit smaller watch bracelet sizes?

Can you fit sunglasses in it

Not in the 2 slot case. In the 8 watch case you can fit 2 pairs.

I am wondering if anyone has had damage on watches from metal stud fastening. Anyone?

We have not had any reported damage from the metal stud. The watch will not touch the stud since it is in the middle and the divider is in the middle.
