Have only used once, the bristles are indeed very hard. It felt weird to brush my teeth with the extra hard bristles, but this toothbrush is amazing as a tongue scraper. Could also be used to clean things other than teeth, because of how nice and hard the bristles are. I recommend buying the hard version for teeth, and the extra hard version as a tongue scraper.

I've been using soft to medium brushes for years as per recommendation by all dentist. And to be honest, I've never felt they truly cleaned or been able to keep plaque from building up, ever! Ever since I started using these extra firm brushes on a hunch that it will actually clean off the visible plaque along my gumlines that build up overnight in my case, it actually has! My teeth have never ever looked or felt any cleaner. The hard bristles actually scaped the plaque off, better than waterflosser or regular flossing, or your standard doctors recommended soft/medium brushes that I see now as a total hoax and con job to get us coming back to them every 6 months. This particular hardness is perfect for my taste. It may not be for everyone, but it what its intended for, to brush off food particles and plaque, even between the teeth without giving in because the bristles being to soft. Trust me people, hard/firm is the way to go. Just find the level you feel comfortable with, and work your way up if you need to.

Not sure why it asks for stars on softness?? Anyway I ordered these because description said they were hard. Well I am not disappointed at all. These are fabulous they arrived earlier than expected, and 3 different colors they could be all purple for me. I actually feel as though I am brushing my teeth instead of rubbing toothpaste on them. They actually clean your teeth. I am obsessed with my smile and these are just what I need. I purchased an Oral-B electronic system because toothbrushes just didnt seem to work well enough excuse me (soft toothbrushes) it is ok but I was still not satisfied. I found these on Amazon and it was like a dream come true finally a hard toothbrush, oh how I have missed a real toothbrush. My teeth are sparkling again and when I am ready to change it, I will sterilize it and into my sewing machine cleaning kit it will go because I can tell it will still be hard enough for cleaning the inside of the machines. I know this seems like a long review for a toothbrush lol but you have to understand my mother taught her kids how to really clean things well, and trust me when I say old toothbrushes were a part of the cleaning arsenal. The toothbrushes we get from the dentist and can purchase in the store are completely useless. Thank you for having these available I will be buying more. Many more.

The brushes work well. The bristles are firm and clean the teeth. I took one star off because the red color shown was not what I received.

I have a dry mouth hence heavy plaque. Makes my mouth feel clean.

Hard toothbrushes are hard to come by. These are hard toothbrushes. Hopefully, they'll avoid the "dental police" who have declared hard toothbrushes "verboten." It seems, when I was a child, that when it came to toothbrushes, harder was better. Over a period of years, I learned to use harder brushes ... by my 20s, using "hard" or "firm" brushes as my standard choice. (And, no, my gums did not bleed.) With practice, one learns to focus on the teeth without excessive brushing of the gums. For years, I used the moderately priced Colgate "firm" toothbrush -- which became the Colgate "Classic" -- which was eventually discontinued when the American Dental Association started "approving" toothbrushes and began their war on hard/firm bristles. One by one, the firm/hard bristle brushes went by the wayside, in some cases discontinued (i.e. RiteAid "compare to Colgate Classic") or moved to overseas production (with a resultant loss of quality) (i.e. Reach Crystal toothbrushes -- see my review). At first I was put off by the "Extra Hard" rating of the Wisdom brush -- and the first one I purchased seemed "very" hard. But now that I've used several, I've become more accustomed to their firmness -- and they no longer feel "too hard" to me. (I think becoming accustomed to the brush may cause one to think they've turned softer ... but without instruments to measure "hardness" it's a rather subjective assessment.) In any event, I hope the Wisdom toothbrush will continue in production for a long time to come.

Excellent size, strong and durable, I find other toothbrush bristles don’t clean my teeth well but these ones do and great value for kk ey

Alors ... Les brosses sont HYPER dures . Étonnement ça fonctionne très bien dans une bouche de fumeur ... Avec ça je ne pense pas que les goudrons auront le temps de s'accumuler avant le prochain rdv dentiste.

"かため"の歯ブラシですら"凄くやわらかい"自分にとって(一回磨いただけでヘタる)、数少ない"かため"のやつだったのですが、前に購入した物と比べて柔らかくなっていますね。それが唯一の不満。

Sono molto soddisfatta Sono arrivati di 3 colorazioni differenti così ognuno ha il suo. Setole rigide, puliscono molto bene.

These tooth brush were not hard at all, I was very dissatisfied. They haven’t lasted long either.
