Great inexpensise pickups
I admit I was surprised and very pleased at the much decent quality and tone of this pickup set. Installed in a cheap squier strat and replaced the volume pot to an audio 1M. Amazingly quiet in all 5 positions and very clear, clean tone through basically all my amps. You can detect a certain amount of strat "quack" on position 2 and 4. When overdriven, they sound gutsy, tight and growly with plenty upper mids and highs and clean up great by rolling back on the guitar volume. Would have preferred just a bit more low end but that can be compensated for with the amp's eq. With an onboard preamp, these really come forward, basically every characteristic they possess is greatly enhanced, although in extreme gain settings they will squeal but the hum is nearly non existent. Not intended for modern metal, since they lack that low end girth but great for general clean tones, driven rock and bluesy stuff. I know buying cheap pickups is chancing the money you spend and I felt that way, nonetheless, these are definitely worth a try since they deliver what they claim in spades. No issues with quality, fitting, or installation. Will probably get another set to install in a homemade strat. I just hope they are consistent from set to set.

Great Value and Sound
I installed on a strat copy and these sound great. About the same output as hot noiseless strat pickups, not too hot,but more of a mini humbucker tone. Initially, were very bassy, but I replaced the 250k volume pot with a 500k I had laying around and it opened up the sound. If you want more highs, you could replace all of the pot with 500k. Only negative is that the screws do not move up or down when you turn them. I like the design being shaped like a normal single coil and fits the pickguard with no mods. I just ordered another set for my mim strat. Great value.

Upgraded cheap project guitar
Bought these to put into a cheap project guitar (Monoprice Indio Strat copy). Original pickups weren't awful, but were by no means great, and I figured I could at least get rid of the 60 cycle hum. Was hoping to just have some okay sounding pickups without any hum. Ended up with smooth, clear, wonderful sounding pickups without mud. Installed with an inexpensive 500k wiring harness drop-in (came with the cream switch tip), and I honestly couldn't be happier. Got some cream volume and tone knobs to finish the look, and now I can't put this guitar down. Seriously wonderful value for money.

Cheaply made, overly microphonic --- no value to any serious player
Once the pickups arrived, I unpacked them for inspection and installation. The pickups came in a box with a sticky glue residue on the sides of each pickup. Completely unnecessary and a testament to a lack of care in their production. The pickups themselves are wound on very cheap, soft plastic spools. All of the solder connection are on the bottom of the pickups and each of the solder joints looked a little gray ball. The gray color of the solder and their ball shape, indicate that the solder joint was cold. They won't last. A ground connection was made to some copper tape hastily applied to the bottom of the pickup's magnet.Measuring each of the pickups DC resistance with my BK Precision Multimeter, I found them to measure significantly below their own rated specification which called for a DC resistance of 12K, 14K and 16K (Neck, middle, Bridge, respectively). Actual measurements were all between 9.30K and 10.01K - up to 62%below their own specifications.I found the Bridge and Neck pickups (the ones with 12 screw pole pieces each) are about .5MM wider then specified and would not fit the mounting hole in my OEM pickguard. I had to widen the hole slightly to accommodate these pickups. These pickups are not wax potted. I wasn't surprised. The cheap plastic bobbins used to wind the coils would likely warp if dipped into hot liquid wax. This is easily confirmed by an insane level of micro-phonics produced by these pickups. While not the worst I've ever heard, these pickups are bad, so bad that they even picked up the sound of the pickup selector switch. There is absolutely no excuse for this.Inside the box are just the pickups, no instructions are provided on how to wire these up. This could be a problem for many who are not versed on pickup installation. There is also no warranty card. Nothing!- The quality of the wire can simply be described as cheap. Usable, but cheap. Also note that the length of the wire provided to attach these pickups to your guitar is extremely short - the barest minimum. In many guitars you may have difficulty installing these pickups due to the short lengths of wire provided.- Solder connections on the pickups are cold and look hastily done.- Made with cheap, bare minimum materials.- Absolutely no signs of wax potting, extremely microphonic.- May have to modify your pick guard to accommodate these.- The pickups are underwound as indicated by extremely low DC resistance measurements that are significantly below their own specifications.- Pickups were covered with a sticky adhesive residue. The cheap construction, lack of attention to detail, and lousy packaging and microphonics make these of little value to any serious player. These are a pass and going back to Amazon. Sorry I cannot recommend these to anyone under any circumstances.

OK for tone tweakers 👍🏾
These pickups are better that the ceramic magnet lower cost options. With a fair amount of eating they aren't too bad at all. Not too hot and not too weak. The mildly push the preamp for a good "edge-of-breakup" sound. Not very traditional for Strat tones, but if your using these, your looking for a different tone (vibe) anyway. No hum, good sustain. The experiment went well. I'll keep them in. I can recommend these for those who are comfortable with tone shaping.
