surprizing low price for Nocona
I've had 3 or 4 pairs of Nocona boots in the past and all the previous were in the $175 - $200 range. I felt they were worth it too. So when I saw the price of these I had to get em. these do not seem to have as high quality materials as the more expensive ones but they do fit well and seem comfy. I ordered the EE and while they fit well they sure look narrow. The toe is much narrower than the picture shows. I like the wear of the non leather soles. It may be that the Nocona boot line has suffered under the ownership of Justin Boots. when did that happen?

Not true to size.
I wear a 10 1/2 D in Nocona boots- I have four pair (both US and Mexican made) and I LOVE them! I needed a boot without a leather sole, so Noconca's Competitor was my first choice. These boots are not true to size- they seem at least a full size too big, if not larger- my feet were swimming in them. They are also made in China if that bothers you.For what they were and at their price point, they didn't seem like bad boots- I would have kept them had they fit, but I didn't know what size to try next so I returned them. I got a pair of Abilene 6418's from a local shop- these are true to size and made in Somerset PA! Nice! More than twice the price of the Competitors, but well worth it imho.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought two pair of these on "clearance", one for my son and one for me. I generally don't like the idea of Chinese cowboy boots and would not have purchased these had I known in adavance. However, the boots are well made, and surprise, they are the most comfortable cowboy boots I've ever owned (they are the 6th or 7th ones.) even with the pointed toes. My son reports that his feel good on his feet also. (All my boots have been comfortable.) Just wish that Nacona would confine boot cowboy boot making to the U.S., or the U.S. and Mexico.

The problem is that these boots while maybe fine in length
The fit on these boots is horrendous. I have owned plenty of boots before and I know what size I am. The problem is that these boots while maybe fine in length, for the width if your foot, they are just not accommodating enough. Now, I'm fairly confident these will stretch out if I wear two pairs of hunting socks in them for about two weeks but, it is going to be a painful two weeks. There are a lot better options for the same price if not for even less. I would honestly pursue those options first. However, in terms of looks and the quality of them, they are very nice boots. They just don't fit me all that well.

Not leather lined. Product Description incorrect.
Made in China.Listing states in Product Description just above the reviews that the boots are leather lined but they are man made plastic lined. Boot lining states "Leather Upper, Balance Man Made" which is correct. One other reviewer said they are not leather but that is incorrect, they are on the outside.Leather feels very cheap and stiff but shaft and foot match. US made Nocona boots use much better leather and are leather lined but are much more expensive. It does fit but is a bit tight and I think it would hurt after wearing awhile. You might want to get 1/2 size larger.I got it for 1/2 price which is a good deal. It does look like it would last awhile.I'm returning unused because I wanted leather lined.

Made in China
It bothers me that a brand like Nocona that is known for its "Handcrafted in the USA" boots is now outsourcing some of its boots overseas. I buy Nocona because I feel that a Western boot that is the American icon of all boots should be made in the USA. Was disappointed to see these are not. Looks like one of the last company's that use to employ American workers and make its products in America has caved in to selling cheap mass market overseas products.

Good deal for the price
These are solid, well-made boots, especially for their price point. The fit is just right for my foot size -- always a gamble when ordering boots you can't try on. They're comfortable, and they break in pretty quickly. I'll buy more Noconas in the future, I'm sure.

Nocona Boots are good ones no matter where they are made.
Excellent boot and a great Amazon buy! All Nocona boots are great whether made in China, as these are, or in Texas or Mexico. The sizing is true and the finish is well done. Comfort a plus. I have half a dozen pair of Noconas from the high end down to these at a bargain basement price. I also own this same boot in the chocolate color. Good boots at a stupidly cheap price!
