does a good job
I would advocate this product as an adjunct to normal brushing and flossing. I dont think it replaces either, but would help overall. It takes minute to get used to it and maneuver the instrument. You will make a mess of it the first few uses, then you get the hang. I like the adjustability, the east of use, and the overall function of the machine. It's not noisy. I do wish the cord was a foot longer as it is stretched to the max to reach my sink. I think the best thing about it is that it does a good job on the far back molars that are hard to get floss around. I like the pulsating feature with you can use as a guide tooth to tooth. I do find that I am not done using it when the reservoir runs out and I have to refill it. But that is just me. I also discovered that you do not want to use very cold water. Warm it a bit and it's much more comfortable. I like to add a capful of mouthwash to the reservoir water, remembering to fully rinse it out and run the machine until clear when I am done. My only concern is replacement heads. They are available on Amazon and the instructions say to replace them every 6 months. Other than that, I am pleased to add this to my routine of oral care.

It works great and it isn’t too loud.
If you are slow you don’t have to fill it up twice like the handheld ones. Not too loud either. The tank part is easy to clean.

Wall plug is ginormous
I love the Philips waterflosser - this is my first time using the table top version. I've had 2 of the cordless ones. Compared to them, this one does not feel as powerful, even all the way up to 10. Maybe I need to get used to it. And I use the regular tip not the quad which I feel does not have enough pressure. The only thing that bugs me is that in this day and age why they haven't figured out how to shrink that wall plug. It is big. Huge. So if you're short on counter space.... I'm looking for a replacement cable that will go into a USB plug.

Design flaw almost guaranteed to fail!
I don't generally write reviews, but this is so poorly designed it's hard not to warn others.I'd heard about potential leaks but figured I'd try it anyway.Plugged it in and more water leaked out of the handle base and switch than came out the end of the actual nozzle.Tried to see if the hose was loose and it came out of the handle entirely with just one wiggle, disclosing there's apparently no actual clamp to seal the hose into the internal handle trigger and the tip of the hose was split as well.Since you can't open the handle to reattach it, and the hose isn't firmly attached to the handle, it can be almost guaranteed that it will either arrive leaking or will eventually fail.I own several Philips products and am generally impressed with them, but this is clearly a case of profiting off brand history while cutting every potential corner they could to save each and every dime possible. The engineering and quality on this is so poor I'm not even angry but actually laughed out loud when I figured out the issue. It deserves zero stars, but that's not an option.

Powerful and easy to clean
one of the better water flossers that I bought, be careful when using it around crowns or loose fillings. Crowns can come off when not used correctly. Do not use highest setting keep it around 7 or 8. Easy to clean

Clean And now on sale
Phillips is a good brand. Since I had the Sonic toothbrush, I decided to go with the flosser also. Using it is a learning curve. Most of the time, it's a wet experience, but you do get the hang of it. I started filling the water up past the waterline then leaving the lid to the water container off in order to floss my entire mouth in one pass. Another trick is to turn the device off by the handle until you get it in place inside your mouth. I still get my hands all wet, so I guess more practice will make perfect. I do wish the flosser would rotate, but you still manage. This unit was bought for my mother. In my own home, I have a portable water flosser which is by far much easier to use but the pug in a wall water flossers are supposed to get your teeth cleaner, and it feels more powerful than mine.UPDATE: My Philips Power Flosser broke in March 2023 -- so we only had 4 months of use. The water would no longer go from the tank through the coil to the handheld wand. It broke after Amazon's replacement deadline. Amazon gave me Philip's, the manufacturer, to call. Philips asked me to try one measure with support on the line, but it didn't fix the unit and instructed me to take a screenshot of my Amazon invoice (which has the date I bought the unit, model number, method, and date of payment on it) to send back to Philips via an email given. I thought I was all set and waited for my replacement unit. Philips said it would take 7 - 10 days for a replacement water flosser. I thought the matter was settled on March 31, 2023. But! Suddenly on April 7, 2023, I received a follow-up email from Philips -- here's what it asked of me: "Kindly email us the back of all the official Proof of Purchase/Invoice/Recipes (in PDF file) and Photos of the item with the model number and serial number at the bottom of the toothbrush handle, so we can further assist you."I would have gladly complied had Philips 1st customer rep asked this me. But as I thought I was now just waiting for the new unit, I tossed out the broken unit. The lesson I learned was don't toss out a broken unit until a replacement unit arrives. But when I called Amazon to try to obtain other proofs of purchase to send to Philips, Amazon helped by giving me by a promotional credit to buy another water flosser, which I'm very grateful for -- I used it to switch to a Water Pik brand of water flosser. I still use my Philips Sonic toothbrush, but Philips may have lost me to their competitor, Water Pik Flossers. What a disappointing experience with Philips when a product of theirs breaks too soon after purchase.
