Review: Impressive, especially for the price - I bought this to get some experience with the overall shape and blade style (it's obviously heavily "inspired" by the Spyderco Para2). I wanted to see if it would work for me before spending $$ on the real deal. I was also curious about an axis-style lock as I hadn't used one before (Spoiler: I did get a Para2...I used it in my photos for comparison purposes). Despite all the positive reviews, I wasn't expecting much for $20 but I was quite pleasantly surprised. The blade edge was sharp-ish out of the box, but in a few minutes with my sharpener I was able to get it sharp enough to shave hair (and I did, just because I could!). The tip was like a needle out of the box and I didn't have to do anything to improve it. That was a few months ago and I haven't had to touch it up yet. The handle material is not bad at all. It grips well enough in my hand, but also slides easily into my pocket. The spring in the axis lock feels little stiff to me but also very very solid. I'm certainly not worried about it accidentally unlocking on me. It's possible this is normal...I haven't used an axis lock before. While the fit and finish are not perfect, it's certainly acceptable for use as an EDC knife. Anything I observed on my example is really at the "I'm being picky" level, and is only worth noting in direct comparison to more expensive products. I've had more expensive knives that seemed to be lower quality. The things I have noticed (at this price point I hesitate to call them "problems"): 1. The worst thing (in my opinion) is that the thumb jimping on the top of the blade is not great. It's just too smooth to really dig in. There is no jimping at all on the bottom of the blade in the indent for the index finger. (See images) 2. The blade either scratches easily or came scratched from the factory. The scratches are strictly cosmetic. Not a concern for me since it's a tool and will be used as such, but I can see some people being bothered by it. 3. The blade pivot is a bit stiff out of the box. I have some light lubricant that I will try, and I suspect that will help. 4. The pocket clip cannot be moved for tip-down carry. Again, not a problem for me but some people might not like it. Overall, I'm very impressed with this as a "budget" EDC knife. It's good enough that I still carry it sometimes as a "beater" and I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. It's probably 80% of the Spyderco at a much lower price. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone, and I may buy more to keep in my toolbox or give as gifts.
Review: Just a joy to use - This things great, If you know what its supposed to be ripping from, then the simple answer is yes, get this thing. If you dont wanna pony up the 200+ bones for a real PM2 then heres the knife for you. The G10 feels good. The blade comes screaming sharp but its not a very thick stock so be careful with the tip, itll break on you but so will the PM2. The access lock works great but the thumb studs were a tiny bit rough so a little scotch brite goes a long way. The lock springs are stiffish at first but start to loosen up over time. the thumb hole on the blade was pretty sharp on the inside so I had to smooth it out with sandpaper. This did have the unfortunate effect of scratching the blade up because im sloppy and impatient, but now that its smoother in the hole I can sit around the house spidey flicking this thing all day long. Conclusion is, if you REALLY want a PM2 and you dont think anything will substitute it, then you may have to save up for one of those, but if you dont want to spend a car payment on a knife and your comfortable with making some minor concessions, this thing is a fantastic deal. And honestly, getting an access lock on this knife feels like a massive bonus. Its super fun to use and its really nice to be able to open and close the knife one handed and never put your fingers in the path of the blade. Also I have had this thing for a few months now, and havent had to resharpen it at all. Ive run it along a ceramic rod once or twice but its not needed a real sharpen yet.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the blade length?**
A: Hello!
Total Length, in	8.0
Blade Length, in	3.4
Blade Thickness, in 0.13
Knife Weight, g	126

**Q: Are there any deep carry replacement pocket clips that are available for purchase separately?**
A: None that I know of. You could go to the Ganzo knife website and check to make sure.

**Q: Is this knife made in black?**
A: Not that I have seen.

**Q: Does this have washers or bearings in the pivot?**
A: I purchased my orange scaled G729 about 3-4 months ago and ass soon as it arrived I took it apart to clean it and tune the Axis lock springs. The washers are a mix of brass/bronze on one side and a nylon washer on the other.
This is not the best setup for a fidget knife but washers are definitely best for a work knife. It's a smooth opening and shutting knife but it's not going to get better over time like one would if it had bronze washers on both sides and after the knifes breaks in. Still a great knife and buy under $20👍

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best budget knives in my collection. (Amended)
*by M***N on November 13, 2023*

I’ve recently began collecting budget knives and have now seen my share of them - the good, the bad and the ugly. It took me a while to get my first Ganzo but I am really glad that I finally did. This knife looked very good out of the box. Attractive and well-machined blue G10 scales, perfect blade centering between the steel liners and the distinct leaf shaped blade looked nice and well-polished. When I began deploying the blade, I found the pivoting action and the axis lock mechanism to be a bit too tight. I loosened the pivot screw just a bit and then added drops KPL (knife lube) to the pivot and the axis lock. Long story short: after the oil soaked in and things had a chance to break in, I ended up with one of the nicest actioned folding knives in my collection. The detent, pivot and axis lock are just about perfect and might actually be nicer than the one Benchmade (Adamas) axis lock in my collection. This knife is just a pleasure to open, close and fidget with. The blade came with a nice sharp edge, has excellent cutting geometry and I think that I like the teardrop “access hole” shape even better than the (ludicrously trade-marked) circles on the knives that “inspired” this one. The 440C is a perfectly fine stainless blade steel for a knife like this. Budget knives can be inconsistent and suffer from poor QC, but I can only review the one I got. And what I got is an awesome budget knife, with excellent action and some of the best price to value ratio I’ve ever encountered. In fact, I like it so much that I’d probably pay twice the price they are asking for it. It would still be a lot cheaper than the equivalent model from the “we trademarked a hole” guys and I kind of like sticking it to them. This knife is 95% as good as their stuff for 20% (or less) the price. I am sure that more Ganzo knives will be following me home soon enough. :) Review Amendment: Yeah... I really liked this budget knife. At least, until one time I went to open it and the sharp edges around the thumb hole sliced my thumb. I'm typing this with a band-aid on my thumb. As some other reviewers had mentioned, the edges around the thumb hole are way too sharp and will slice you if you catch them just right (or wrong?). Ganzo really needs to spend another half a minute on the tools in order to dull these edges. I plan on taking care of it myself but I shouldn't have to. Taking a star off the review.
