Good keychain light with a high-CRI option
I usually recommend the Fenix E01 for a keychain flashlight. It's not too expensive, well made, has an insanely long regulated run time, and is enough light for midnight bathroom trips and finding your car door in the dark.If you want more light, or can't stand the bluish tint and rough pattern of a 5mm LED, this is a good option for half the price. It seems to have better physical build quality than other flashlights at this price. The light output is about is about double that of the Fenix, which of course means less running time but the claimed 3 hours and 40 minutes is still good. The LED is fit well in the reflector and produces a smooth beam.It includes an extra o-ring and a key ring small enough for the tiny hole at the back end (like the Fenix, a normal 1" key ring won't fit). It would be nice if it included a pocket clip (which I could imagine snapping around the groove at the rear end), but I'm not complaining given that this is such a good bargain as it is.

A hidden gem
Anyone who knows anything about LEDs is well aware that the Nichia 219 LED is the holy grail of flashlight technology. It produces a pleasant natural color light output, and makes all your other bluish/purplish/greenish/yellowish LEDs seem like outdated relics from the last decade. The Rayus C01 gives you the Nichia 219 LED for an incredibly low price. I also like the single mode output - it's bright enough to walk around in the dark, while still having several hours of battery life, and no useless low modes to scroll through every time.

The tint is very neutral and the beam pattern is a nice flood. The build quality is pretty good
I bought the Nichia version. It's a single mode light. The tint is very neutral and the beam pattern is a nice flood. The build quality is pretty good. For the money this is a very good little aaa light. Running it on a eneloop battery. This one has duty on my work keychain. Highly recommended.

Working well for many months now. NOT waterproof. I figured it was cheap enough so I let the kids use it in the pool. After 20 mins there was water inside. Opened it up and let it dry out and is still working however.

Seriously nice keychain flashlight and a steal at $5
Seriously nice keychain flashlight and a steal at $5. The tint and beam profile are outstanding, and the output is regulated, so you get constant brightness for almost three hours and change. Buy a couple and give them as gifts - these are just that good.
