Perfect for Integrating a Non-Tesla EV with a Tesla Wall Connector!
We recently added a 2025 Mercedes GLC 350e to our household, and we already had a Tesla wall connector installed in our garage. Instead of going through the hassle and expense of installing a separate J1772 charger, we decided to try the Lectron Tesla to J1772 EV Charging Adapter.I'm happy to report that it works flawlessly! We simply plug the Lectron adapter into our Tesla wall connector, and then plug the Mercedes into the J1772 port on the adapter. It's that easy. The adapter feels well-built and sturdy. It fits snugly into both the Tesla connector and the Mercedes charging port, giving me confidence in a secure connection. Charging has been consistent and reliable, with no issues whatsoever. This adapter has saved us significant time and money. It's a fantastic solution for anyone with a Tesla wall connector who needs to charge a non-Tesla EV. Highly recommended!

Buy a good brand and save yourself the headache
I bought two cheaper versions. One was the Power Talk it worked for a few weeks, then stopped working. The other didn't work at all. Save yourself the hassle and spend the money on a good brand. This one worked right away. If that changes, I'll update this review to reflect that.

Perfect Solution for Charging New EV with My Tesla Charger
Just got a new EV but already had a Tesla Wall Connector installed at home. This Lectron adapter was exactly what I needed! It works perfectly, allowing me to charge my J1772 using my existing Tesla charger without any issues. It clicked securely into place on both ends and started charging immediately. Best of all, it saved me the significant cost and hassle of buying a completely separate EV charger and paying for another installation. This adapter is the perfect, simple solution to integrate my new car into my existing home charging setup. Highly recommended!

Overheats after 1 month, Tesla support team knows about Lectron issues.
First ever 1 star review I've felt the need to post, in hopes of sparing someone else. Bought the Lectron adapter for my Porsche Taycan 4S because it appeared to be the best adapter available (clean branding, higher price point, plenty of orders, etc) but that was a huge mistake. The adapter worked for about 10 uses, then I started getting an overheating warning on both my car's charging port and on the Gen 3 Tesla Wall Charger as well. The car would charge properly for about an hour, but as time progresses the adapter heats up and charging kWh slows down from 8.8 to about 2 before it eventually quits due to overheating.I spent 3 full days troubleshooting, and I'm a pretty resourceful person. From verifying that both the Porsche and Wall Charger are up to date, to ensuring that my 50 amp breaker has a max output of 40 amps, to even putting the Tesla Charger into "Compatibility Mode" which is designed to work for non-Tesla vehicles - nothing worked. After speaking with a representative from the Tesla Wall Charger support team, they were able to tell me first hand that Lectron complaints have skyrocketed on their end and that the higher ups are aware and actively trying to figure out a solution to this. They said something is off between the communication between the Tesla Charger and the adapter itself.Other details important to note: Lectron has not responded to my voicemail and 3 calls I've left them over the last 2 weeks. I also noticed they have dropped the price on this exact product over the last couple of weeks. Perhaps they are finally experiencing the impact of a inadequate product. My solution: I returned the product and ordered a replacement adapter. I won't be saying the replacement's brand name because this is not intended to be a shoutout to another competitor. I will say that this replacement is LESS money, rated at 80 amps instead of 48, and has zero issues reported to the Tesla Wall Connector Support Team, whereas Lectron had several issues reported.Do not buy this product. It could have caused serious damage to my tesla wall charger, my rather expensive car, or worse, it could have burned down my house!

Works as described
Perfect addition to my Ford Mach-E! Enabled me to feel confident when traveling around the city by ensuring I had the right tools in my vehicle to charge. I also utilize this charger at my apartment complex when the other J1772 chargers are occupied.

Working to charge my BMW
Works good so far. I'm using it to convert my tesla wall charger to now charge my BMW i4 - no problems yet with overheating or slowing the charge down as I saw in other reviews.

Unable to Maintain a Continuous 48 Amp Charge
Update 03/05/2025 I have updated the review to five stars. The replacement adapter provided by the company meets all my needs and so far no problems. I will continue to track. Note that the company has been very proactive. They quickly provided a replacemet and stayed in touch to monitor its performance. Also note that I also purchased the companie' s NACS to CCS adapter for use at Tesla DC Superchargers chargers and it's performance has been excellent.Update 02/17/2025* Lectron provided a replacement adapter after several back and forth emails. The replacement seems to be working properly. In light of other posts noting problems were showing up after several weeks or months of use, I will update again if problems resurface in the future.Proceed with caution. If you expect it to continue operate at 11 kw (48 amps) during an extended charge session, be prepared for it to derate to around 6 kw, possibly due to overheating. And be careful removing it--it is HOT. I'm using it with a Tesla Wall Connector and replacing it with a different brand J1772 EVSE isn't an option. If you can live with almost half the capacity you were anticipating and are not worried about possible collateral issues that could be caused by overheating, then this product may work for you.
