The display icon is a truthful albeit sneaky and might have you thinking it looks more lush and full than reality. However, despite this little flaw, it is still a really pretty and well-balanced plant. I've had trouble with other large fake plants tipping over constantly, but you can arrange this one to balance better. It's very flexible and can take a lot of shapes, including the one in the display icon. Of all the plastic plants I have, and I have something of a jungle going on in my home, this one satisfied me the most based off of the marketing and quality itself. This is definately a getter.

Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and appearance of these artificial croton palm plants. After 4 years trying to deal with real crotons on the ledge by our pool, I opted to eliminate dragging a hose, sweeping up dirt, and fishing leaves out of the pool. The plants are surprisingly realistic--they are very similar to the real crotons they replaced, both in shape and in color. Frond colors are vivid so far, after nearly a month in hot Florida sun--we'll see how well the UV resistance holds up over time. I left the plants in their original plastic pots and simply filled my ceramic pots with river pebbles to anchor them in place. They have done well through multiple torrential rainstorms with gusty winds, staying upright and draining thoroughly. A couple of minor elements diminish their realism. First, each croton's leaf placement is absolutely identical to the others--I managed to disguise that fact by turning each of the plants to a slightly different angle. Secondly, some of the leaf stems are still stiff and as a result show too much of the less realistic underside of the dark green fronds--ideally the stems would be wired to better accommodate shaping, but then the plants would be far more expensive. Neither con will prevent me from buying these same croton palms again--in fact, I may buy three more and store them!

I found the size to be too tall. By cutting a branch off (it was obvious which one) I made two plants that were of a more acceptable hight for ground planting in front of the house. Additionally, by trimming off two branches I was able to put three even smaller plants into a planter pot. The cutting was first done with a hack saw after wrapping the branch in newspaper so it could be protected and the saw could be positioned. Later, I found that a power sabre saw worked even better and I didn't need to wrap the plant. I did need to use a bench vice to hold the plant while cutting in both cases. I am very happy with the results.

This is a beautiful plant on our patio in Florida and importantly, is does not fade. The leaf color has remained good for the year that I’ve had it. The problem with it is that the leaves are not sturdy and break off at the stems like crazy. We’re only at this place every couple of months and every time I’m here I’m picking up half a dozen leaves and trying somehow to reattach. Frequently the stems have broken so it’s pretty much impossible. If they made this part of the plant stronger, it would be great. About 5 stems in the middle of the picture are missing leaves and several of the leaves shown have been reattached.

It is a beautiful plant. Lifelike and gorgeous. It sits in the corner of the dining room. It is great. No need to water no bugs and nothing to sorry about. Would definitely buy again. It is a bit top heavy and needs bottom weights but that should not stop anybody from buying it. That is a small, easily fixable, detail.

This deserves a 5 star rating. I bought this to place in a ceramic pot that is placed where the irrigation system does not reach. It looks so real and is very colorful. No one can tell it is not real. I sprayed it with clear UV spray to help it from fading. I am hoping fir it to last 3 years in the direct Florida sun before I replace it.

I really wanted to like this plant. After a frost killed my plants I went to all artificial plants. I did one bed last year and this bed pictured this year. All of my other plants have held up well other than these 2. It looks like a Croton and would be great indoors or on an inclosed patio but not in my garden. I see other reviews saying they held up well. Maybe I got 2 clunkers. The company refunded one of them and now my last one has had 23 leaves fall off. The company explained something about the leaves not being attached to a trunk and so they “can” fall off. That is fine but don’t sell it as an outdoor plant if it can’t make it 2 months without 23 leaves falling off. I’ll end up with a Charlie Brown Croton bush pretty soon. Get the palms or yuccas instead. Nothing with leaves or flowers attached.
