They get louder than I need them to go. I can't turn them all the way up and sit in front of them mixing and recording music. They do enter a rest mode when you don't use them for a long time. It takes less than a second for them to kick back on though. They never rest when I'm producing music. Only when no sound has gone through them for a while and again they come back on in under a second. If these were your concerns I recommend buy them. Pros: Loud Included wires They look nice 5" speakers Anytime I go to a concert the DJs are using pioneer equipment. 🤷‍♂️😅 Cons: I wish the power switch was on the front and not the back, but it's a matter of preference and not really much of an inconvenience.
