This hydrator works well ad in less time than expected. It is a nice counter top size but probably not large enough for serious hydration amounts. It has stainless shelves which I feel is an advantage over plastic. We've only done fruit so I can't speak to other items. The time probably depends on the thickness of the cut. Happy with it so far. Very easy to operate.

So far it has been wonderful. I haven’t learned a lot yet and can’t wait to know more about it. I highly recommend and it has lots of room.

I bought this dehydrator to dry fruit and veggies for my bird, and it's great for that. I can load every rack and it finishes in around 5 hours. The unit is pretty easy to use, with no complicated extras. It doesn't produce too much radiant heat, and it's quieter than a desk fan. The racks are fairly easy to clean, though sometimes things will stick a bit. My only complaints are that the cord is quite short, and the racks feel a bit flimsy. I'm afraid that if I dropped one it would shatter, but after 7 months, they're holding up with gentle use. I don't know if this would hold up to super frequent use, but if you only need it now and then, it does the trick at a decent price.

For the Money you cant do better, If you want better pay more :) It does the job

Love it. It was easy to set up the recipes are great. It is small enough to store without a problem but big enough to get the job done for a family. I’m making fruit snacks and healthy jerky for my for baby.

Doesn't take up much counter space witch is great, so far I've just made Jerky you can make 2 lbs if cut right & turned out great.

This was a gift to my sister and it takes six to 12 years to complete. She felt it is not worth it
