Super Robot Chogokin : Gaogaigar Furyu Rairyu And Big Order Room And Key to Victory

A very nice pair of GaoGaiGar robots. Well sculpted and decently articulated. These two are essentially repaints of the Red/Blue brothers Hyoru and Enryu. Which is a shame because they are almost three times the price. But the dedicated fans will pay it anyway to get that final piece of the Big Order Room. Sadly these two were Tamashii Web Exclusive releases so they are rare and expensive.As far as their actual quality and features? They are good but not great members of the SRC line. Sharply sculpted and painted. Articulation is good, but more than a bit sub par when compared to other SRC's. More in line with Bandai's Gundam offerings than the super posability of SRC. Metal content is meh, but you get two figs so it evens out. Accessories include the mixer barrel missile launcher. The yellow dump bed sled? Each has an alternate face and extra open and closed hands. 2 crotch grabber Tamashii stand adapters and of course the final pie slice of the Big Order Room.There is one thing that raises this from a overpriced 3 star set to a 5 star set. The one part that has sat on my desk for years, getting fondled daily. I speak of the stunning die cast, fully painted and detailed "Key To Victory" This set includes a nice solid 1:1 scale solid metal model of the key. About 2" long 1: wide and 5-6 ounces weight with Brass and silver paint with green details and engraving. They could sell this thing as a stand along product and people would buy it. Just wonderful bit of fan boy kitsch.Overall a nice set. Just grossly overpriced for what it is. For the completist only.
