Review: Perfect! - I’ve been out of the aquarium game for years due to nursing school, work, and health issues but now I can finally breathe again and I decided to jump back in!! This was the absolute perfect tank to start back up with. It’s pretty quiet (you hear it but it’s not obnoxious!) and it’s simply beautiful. The design is clean and I love the curved design with the lid. The lights are super customizable and dimmable. Everything works well together and it is a thoughtful design. While I don’t love losing space to the back (filter and pump), I can hide the heater in the back of the tank so that is a bonus. Assembly is easy and very straight forward. The water flow doesn’t seem too much to stress the fish out either. Overall a really solid design and a beautiful tank especially for those just starting out.

The real compartments are large enough for your own mix of equipment and filter media. The grates on the intakes are a nice touch and will keep small fry or shrimp out of the rear compartments. I added some small filter material inside these grates to further decrease the chance of fry or shrimp entering. The pump is quite strong and is completely silent. I cannot hear it run at all. The tank sits next to my bed and you wouldn't think it was even running. The tank also came with a nice mat for the bottom glass. Overall I am extremely happy with the tank. **Q: Does this tank truly hold 15 gallons of usable water for fish?**
A: Absolutely not. The person who answered saying yes is wrong. I measured after decorating my tank and it only holds 12 gallons. Plus you have to consider the back panel is missing so there is less swim space. This really is more of a 10 gallon tank.

**Q: Does 15” depth represent the dist. from the back to the front of the bottom of the tank or from back to the most forward part of the curved face?**
A: It's 15" tall (floor to ceiling) by 15 inches deep (front to back) by 16" wide (left to right).  Hope that helps.

**Q: What all will it come with.  (heater pump. filter. media. etc?**
A: This aquarium comes with an LED light built into the hood, pump, and filter with media.

**Q: can someone give me the dimensions of the filter compartment?**
A: It is 4.25" x 3" (this is just the portion that houses the filtration system)

I’ve been out of the aquarium game for years due to nursing school, work, and health issues but now I can finally breathe again and I decided to jump back in!! This was the absolute perfect tank to start back up with. It’s pretty quiet (you hear it but it’s not obnoxious!) and it’s simply beautiful. The design is clean and I love the curved design with the lid. The lights are super customizable and dimmable. Everything works well together and it is a thoughtful design. While I don’t love losing space to the back (filter and pump), I can hide the heater in the back of the tank so that is a bonus. Assembly is easy and very straight forward. The water flow doesn’t seem too much to stress the fish out either. Overall a really solid design and a beautiful tank especially for those just starting out.

I really like this tank! I was looking for a nice small tank for a planted aquarium. The bow on the front really makes the tank unique and adds a sharp expensive look to the tank. The quality of the glass is nice and the black beading on the back wall and the top rim of the tank really helps clean things up. It nicely hides all the equipment and pumps in the bank and give a nice look to the waterline. The light fixture came DOA, but the seller quickly replaced it and it is now working great. The light is bright and provides a lot of custom options. It may not be the strongest light for a planted tank, but sure looks like it will be more than enough for the plants I am growing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Large volume for the apparent size.

This replaced an Aqueon 5 gal mini bow tank that sat on my kitchen counter. Even though it holds 80% more water, it's footprint and apparent size is only a little bigger (I have them side-by-side in the picture for comparison). The filtration system is great. I always had an issue with a film on the water's surface before but now the water stays crystal clear and there is no film since the design draws water from near the bottom and an overflow at the top. The issue with animals getting into the filter, that prior purchasers mentioned, has been solved as the current model has guards with smaller holes over the filter inlets. I fill the leftmost chamber at the back of the tank with filter floss which provides great mechanical filtration and increases the size of the biological filter. The lights are very bright at full intensity but can be dimmed. For me, the colored lights and lightning storm settings are really just a novelty but it does have the capability to have white light and a color on at the same time which does make the white lite softer. Because the lid is so close to the water's surface, there is a lot of splashing onto the light but the lights seem to be very well sealed and there have been no issues. I am using the Pm0606 Brand Micro Oxygen Bubble Diffuser Air Stone and the Tetra Whisper Air Pump 20 and the hole in the lid for feeding allows tiny splashes of water to come out (like a full glass of a carbonated beverage). I am using the Fish Mate F14 feeder, which I modified with a plastic tube to serve the same purpose as a feeding ring, over the feeding hole. Laying a small piece of silicon rubber over the remaining feeding hole opening or turning down the airflow solved the slashing problem. I have had the tank for about 2 weeks now and contrary to what I have read on forums, a small tank can cycle. I have been testing the water daily with the API Freshwater Master Test Kit and ammonia and nitrite have remained zero while nitrate is now detectable at about 5 ppm. The fact that this small a tank is cycling may be due to my use of CaribSea Eco-Complete substrate and the floss in the first filter chamber which makes for a larger biological filter. I will update my review in a few months.
