Nuvo60/2855 Nine Light Chandelier, Unknown, Brushed Nickel

Light looks good when installed, but unfortunately diagrams in instructions are too small to be of much help. DW was finiky about the alignment of the shade relative to the shade holder & fixture, so took extra time with that. Unfortunately the shade holder does not have an obvious mark to help with alignment with the fixture, so I ended up doing a bunch of measurements around the shade holder. A paper template, or a mark on the shade holder would have helped.Regardless, looks good and DW is happy with the finished product.

I purchased two of these fixtures for my basement. They look beautiful and are quite sturdy. But due to the color on the glass - the lighting is very, very dark. In fact, it's almost as if no light is on at all.I am going to replace the bottom glass panel with a frosted white glass to let in more light (the panels can be removed.) Nuvo also has a similar product with white glass.[...]

These are a little larger and darker than I imagined, compare to the lights I removed. We put the short rod in as they are over a bar, however my husband had 'fun' installing them as the mounting plate seemed not to match what was already there and required a visit to HD and some fiddling to get them in. We put 4W LED lights in them which are dimmable so it is easy to adjust a light setting and they use very little power if left on as an accent.

The build quality is very good and it was easy to install but the glass is too dark. The shade tint is significantly darker in real life than the impression given by the photo. With three 60 watt bulbs installed it put out the candle power of a single 60 watt bulb. If you are going for the look fine, but if you want some light forget it.

This is a unique lighting fixture in that; it bounces the light to the ceiling and softens the light which is easy on the eyes. The parchment glass presents the light with a warm glow. Finally, it was packaged to avoid damage during shipping. Installation was easy, I took my time, noted the former wiring and then duplicated the new connections.
