absolutely the best of '09
I bought a lot of albums over '09 and this is the one that stands out, I mean way out. It's fast and aggressive without having that cheesy metal feel that most bands like this have. there is nothing cheesy about this and you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get this album.

If you had to buy one CD from this band this would be it, their newer crap sounds like a rip-off of RATM

Breathtaking
If there's one thing the hardcore genre does well, it's creating a sense of power, urgency and pure rage. Make Your Own History is no exception. This album is phenomenal!Every single track on this album feels like it's being shoved straight down the listeners throat, forcing them to enjoy it, which you will. The brutal vocals perfectly emphasise the bare-bones lyrics, the guitar work is, for lack of a better word, sexy and, speaking as a drummer, the drum work is absolutely astounding; it's extremely fast-paced and, at the same time, precise and concise. In all honesty, I'm trying to be professional and descriptive when the best way to describe this album is just to say to someone, face to face, "oh, god, it's just so... wow, and it, like, agh! It's just so, gah! It's amazing!"The reason I spend my time listening to bands like Stray From The Path and similar bands (such as Converge, Architects, This Is Hell etc.) is because it tunes into all the negative feelings (rage, frustration, upset) and it grabs them by the throat and pulls them to the surface. It's hard to listen to this album and not scream along to all the rage-filled lyrics. This is an album that can't really be describe (at least not well, or not well by me, personally). It just has to be bought and enjoyed and, I promise, you will enjoy it from start to end. It is raw, powerful, and does not let up.
